Chapter 62: Complicated

When Shi Ji was at the Star Hero Academy, his class consisted entirely of students with Soldier rank constitutions. Among them, several were ranked in the top 50 of the academy. Despite being considered low-tier and numerous, Soldier rank Stars breaking into the top 50 clearly proved their worth.

“Tell me, are you laughing because you all have rare Star ranks?” Shi Ji’s voice turned icy. His sharp gaze scanned the room.

The laughter quieted but didn’t stop completely.

The girl who had spoken earlier chuckled, “Teacher, our entire class has rare Star ranks. Having a Soldier rank Star teacher instruct us is something I can’t accept. This is the first time I’ve heard of a Soldier rank teacher.”

The girl was attractive, had a pleasant voice, and a good figure, but Shi Ji didn’t hold back because her words were too offensive.

“Oh, you haven’t heard of it? That makes you a frog in a well, short-sighted and ignorant.”

The girl immediately frowned, “Teacher Shi Ji, your words are quite harsh.”

At this point, the girl was clearly indignant, feeling that her rare Star rank was being insulted by a Soldier rank.

“Ha!” Shi Ji sneered. “Such a narrow-minded bunch. You’re rare Star ranks, yet you’re here at Yinshuang Academy. “Hey! New teacher, how can you say that? Do you even know how to be a teacher?” 

A male student stood up and slammed his desk.

“Yeah!”

“A mere Soldier rank, and you think you’re all that!”

“You should leave. We don’t need a teacher like you in Class A.”

Several other male students stood up one by one, and soon more and more followed.

Shi Ji was used to such scenes and remained unfazed. He calmly sat down, his cold expression shifting to a smile. A smile that was also a sneer.

“Several of the top 50 at the Star Hero Academy were Soldier ranks that you look down on. In my opinion, if you were placed in that academy, you’d be at the bottom. I don’t see where your sense of superiority comes from. I thought Class A was supposed to be something special, but it turns out you’re just average.”

Shi Ji’s words were deeply provocative, stirring discontent among the students.

Lin Xinyan, sitting in the audience, watched Shi Ji with a complicated expression. She had thought Shi Ji was just messing around, but things had escalated quickly.

‘What is he trying to do?’

“Hey! Judging by your smug attitude, you think you’re pretty great, huh? How about we have a competition?” a voice from the corner of the classroom challenged Shi Ji.
