Chapter 74: School Uniform

At that moment, Shi Ji was stunned, his gaze fixed on Lin Xinyan’s face, not moving away for a long time. Suddenly, he realized that this girl’s uniqueness was not just on the outside. Her inner qualities were equally special.

When Lin Xinyan’s voice rang out again, the young man finally came back to his senses.

His gaze remained on Lin Xinyan, unblinking. The dazed look in his eyes had calmed down, and Shi Ji now wore a faint smile.

“Sorry, I was lost in thought. Let’s go.”

Lin Xinyan found the situation a bit bewildering. She had asked Shi Ji for an explanation, but he refused to answer. Seeing his stubbornness, the girl eventually gave up.

Afterward, with Lin Xinyan leading the way, the two arrived at a tailor shop that made custom clothes for the academy.

When Shi Ji held the brand-new school uniform in his hands, he looked puzzled.

Seeing Shi Ji’s expression, Lin Xinyan smiled and said, “Your details were sent over earlier. It was Instructor Jing Xin who arranged for someone to have your uniform made.”

Shi Ji was taken aback, surprised by this.

“That little brat?”

“Exactly. You should thank her when you see her next. Now that you have your uniform, go try it on in the fitting room.”

With that, Shi Ji was pushed into the fitting room.

Shi Ji didn’t care much about his appearance, but having new clothes to wear still made him quite happy.

After nearly ten minutes, the fitting room door finally opened.

Hearing the sound, Lin Xinyan immediately turned around and saw a young man in a neatly arranged white school uniform walking out slowly.

They say good-looking people look great in anything they wear. But when Shi Ji put on this uniform, his unique aura became even more pronounced, making him look like a prince on a white horse. To exaggerate a bit, it seemed as if this outfit was specially designed just for Shi Ji.

Lin Xinyan’s eyes lit up as she stood up and approached him. Noticing that Shi Ji’s collar wasn’t arranged properly, she instinctively stepped closer to him and began to adjust it.

A faint, elegant fragrance wafted into his nose, refreshing and pleasant.

As she spoke, Lin Xinyan stepped back and carefully looked at Shi Ji again. 

She nodded with satisfaction, “Mm-hmm, now it’s perfect.”

Shi Ji didn’t say anything, just looked down at his outfit.

“I’ll be more mindful in the future,” he said.

“Alright, take your old clothes. Let’s go eat.”

“Now?”

“Just look at the time. If we head over now, it’ll be just right.”
