Chapter 85: Think Twice

In the Class A classroom, Lin Xinyan sat at her desk, diligently working on her assignments. Unlike most of the students in Class A, Lin Xinyan placed great importance on her studies. She believed that hard work would pay off, and indeed, she had already achieved some notable successes.

However, she was not satisfied with just these small achievements. She was determined to continue working hard and growing even more.

It was undeniable that most Class A students were not as dedicated and diligent as those in Class B. This was reflected in the arena rankings, where several of the top ten spots were occupied by Class B students.

A few minutes later, some discordant voices broke the silence in the classroom.

“That brat from Class B is too arrogant. We have to find a way to teach him a lesson, or where will we put our Class A faces?”

“Just thinking about his arrogance yesterday makes me furious. Hey, Ling Si, what are we going to do?”

“Don’t worry, it’s only a matter of time. I’ll definitely get my revenge.”

These idle conversations distracted Lin Xinyan.

Though Lin Xinyan and the others were classmates in Class A, these so-called classmates didn’t give her the same straightforward feeling that Shi Ji did. They were always nitpicking and shortsighted. As a friend, she felt the need to help Shi Ji in some way.

Knock! Knock!

Suddenly, someone knocked on her desk.

Lin Xinyan looked up to see that it was none other than Ling Si.

“What’s up?” she asked simply.

Lin Xinyan knew Ling Si’s character and wasn’t particularly fond of her. However, as a classmate, she maintained her usual demeanor and did not show her displeasure.

Everyone in the class knew how strong Lin Xinyan was, and compared to her, Ling Si was far behind.

Ling Si’s attitude was ordinary, nothing special.

“You seem to know that new guy from Class B. This is our personal grudge, so please stay out of it.”

Lin Xinyan understood Shi Ji’s strength far better than Ling Si did. Confronting Shi Ji would not be as easy as Ling Si thought.

Of course, Lin Xinyan didn’t stay silent.

She gave a faint smile and said, “I can’t involve myself in your issues. But let me give you a kind warning. That guy is tougher than you think. In the end, you’ll be the ones who suffer. Think twice before you act.”

Ling Si didn’t take her words seriously and laughed. “Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to deal with him.”

With that, Ling Si turned and left without another word.

Lin Xinyan didn’t dwell too much on the matter and intended to continue with her studies.

At that moment, someone called out to her from the side.

“Xinyan, Instructor Jing Xin wants to see you.”

“Report! Shi Ji, the new student from Class B, is here,” a loud voice echoed from the doorway of the office.

Jing Xin was busy with her lesson planning, her pen moving swiftly across the paper. At the sound of that voice, the pen snapped in her hand with a sharp crack.

“Shi Ji! You rascal! Get in here!”

She had already told him to maintain basic respect, yet Shi Ji still acted this way, speaking so loudly as if afraid no one would hear him.

Shi Ji walked into the office with a chuckle and promptly sat down on the sofa.

“Instructor, what do you need from me? I’m quite busy, you know, not much time to spare.”

Jing Xin stood up straight, looking at Shi Ji’s nonchalant demeanor.

‘Busy? Busy doing what? Sleeping?’

“You’re really casual about this. You make yourself at home in my office without any hesitation.”

Shi Ji shook his head. “No, no, no. This isn’t my home. I don’t keep pets, they always bark and annoy me.”

“Are you calling me a dog?”

“No, Instructor, you said that yourself.”
