Later, the academy instructors headed to the surveillance room to retrieve footage from around the supermarket area. From the recordings, they found some clues.

The footage showed someone appearing near the supermarket. However, due to the nighttime conditions, only the silhouette of the person could be seen, and their face was not clear.

The individual first arrived at the supermarket, lingered at the entrance for a while, and then planned to leave. However, they encountered the anomaly in the square. After a brief skirmish, the anomaly had no chance to retaliate. It first lost an arm, and then its entire body was repeatedly slashed by a longsword until it died on the spot. The person then left with one of the anomaly’s arms, disappearing into the darkness.

The recently emerged anomaly’s mysterious death was a peculiar event. The primary question now was: who was that mysterious person?

Given that the anomaly was Nether-class, it would require at least an A-level hero like Lin Xinyan to handle it.

The academy staff who used swords denied any involvement, and a brief investigation revealed that other capable students, apart from Lin Xinyan, also claimed they weren’t involved.
