Chapter 119: Oh No
by tinytreeNot only did Shi Ji beat up Divine Hunter, but he also took his weapon. Lin Xinyan really didn’t know how to describe Shi Ji’s behavior. But to get Shi Ji to return the weapon seemed impossible just by looking at him.
Afterward, the two of them walked around the shopping street for a while before taking a cab back to the academy.

On the rooftop, an older woman carrying a bucket of freshly washed clothes walked over.
She put down the bucket and hung up one piece of clothing on the clothesline. As she reached for the second piece, her movements suddenly stopped. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a shadow at the edge of the rooftop.
Startled, she slowly raised her head.
To her shock, she found a man dressed in modern hunter attire lying unconscious at the edge.
The woman didn’t hesitate. She dropped what she was doing and quickly rushed over to the man.
At first, she didn’t recognize him, but as she got closer, she realized that this man was none other than Divine Hunter, the currently popular A-level hero in Yinshuang City.
More than two hours had passed, and Divine Hunter was still unconscious.
Seeing the two distinct handprints on his face, the woman was extremely shocked. But now wasn’t the time to think about that. She supported Divine Hunter and shook his body.
“Hey! Wake up! Wake up!”
Divine Hunter, being an A-level hero, had a body much tougher than ordinary people. Although he was knocked out, he wasn’t seriously injured. As the woman shook him and called out, Divine Hunter gradually woke up after a while.
Of course, despite being an A-level hero with a strong body, he could only wake up now because Shi Ji had held back. Otherwise, he could have slept for a lifetime.
His eyes slowly opened, and Divine Hunter’s face showed some pain. Feeling the burning sensation on his face, he couldn’t help but touch his right shoulder and rub his neck.
“Oh… why did I fall asleep? My neck is so sore.”
Shi Ji’s strike had completely knocked out Divine Hunter. Now that he was awake, he still hadn’t fully grasped what had happened.
Seeing Divine Hunter wake up, the worried expression on the older woman’s face relaxed. She finally felt relieved.
“How are you feeling now?” the woman asked.
Hearing her voice, Divine Hunter turned his gaze to the woman. From the shouting earlier, he figured it must have been her.
“Oh, I’m alright now. Thank you for your help.”
Divine Hunter kept twisting his shoulder and neck as he slowly stood up. The woman, cautious, kept supporting him until he was steady.
“Oh, it’s okay. You can let go now.”
The woman carefully released her grip.
This woman looked to be in her forties and had seen a lot over the years. While she appreciated the help of heroes during the times of anomaly attacks, she wasn’t as starstruck by them as the younger generation. Seeing Divine Hunter, she didn’t display any significant emotion.
“Divine Hunter, how did you end up knocked out here? And what’s with the handprints on your face?”
Prompted by her question, Divine Hunter began to recall what had happened.
The meeting? Lin Xinyan? That kid? Trash?
Suddenly, Divine Hunter panicked. He spun around and realized that the spot where he had left his quiver was empty. There was nothing there, not even his massive black longbow.
“Damn it!!!”

Shi Ji was now back in his dorm room, holding the bow and arrows he had taken from Divine Hunter.
He opened the window, nocked an arrow, and drew the bow, testing its feel.
“Oh, the grip’s pretty good. It’s just a bit too light, not as fitting as Nine Shadows. Oh well, it’ll do for now.”
Just as he was testing it, his hand slipped.
The arrow shot out, accompanied by a swift wind, instantly transforming into a massive tornado that roared forth. Its target was the distant, expansive lawn.
“Oh no…”
