A Message from TinyTree (and the New TinyTree)
Hey everyone,
It’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve got a bit of good news and a bit of bad news to share, so let’s get right into it.
As some of you already saw on the pop-up over the past month, I’ve been dealing with some health issues. Things got serious enough that I ended up in the hospital. The good news is, I’m doing better now. But there’s good news for you too.
The truth is, this whole situation made me step back and really think. I started this site as a passion project. It gave me joy, taught me a lot, and even brought in a little side income. But over time, especially recently, I’ve realized I just can’t juggle everything anymore. Life’s gotten complicated, and I’m stretched too thin. After a lot of soul-searching, I’ve decided to step away from the project.
That said, I didn’t want to leave things hanging. I made a promise, and I’ve held off from quitting because of that promise. And funny enough, while I was in the hospital, life had a strange way of working things out. I met someone. We got to talking, and it turned out we shared something big in common: a love for Chinese web novels. He not only understood what I was trying to do here, but he offered to take up the torch.
So now, I’m going to hand things over to him. He’ll introduce himself below. Thanks again, truly, for all the support over the years.

Hi,
I know it’s a bit unusual to have a “changing of the guard” in a single post, but we figured it’d be more honest this way. Like TinyTree said (and yeah, I’m keeping the name. It oddly fits), I’ll be taking over Inkkacu Novels. That includes the website, the Discord, and the ongoing translations.
Please do hop into the Discord if you haven’t already. I’d love to build a more lively community there.
To show we’re serious about continuing the work, the two of us put in the effort to finish translating one of his favorites: The Bodyguard From Hell. You can read that now.
From here on out, I’ll be focusing on Are You Crazy? and then I Went to the Wrong Blind Date Table, two novels I personally enjoy a lot and plan to fully translate, but that also depends on your interest.
Also, I’ll be making a couple of changes to how the site runs:
• There will be one simple subscription tier that gives you full access to every premium chapter.
• I’ll also add donation buttons in case you want to support a specific novel. Think of it as a way to say, “Hey, I love this series, keep it going.”
To be honest, I’m still a bit stunned by how this all came together. I don’t know if it was fate, luck, or something bigger, but for a while now I’ve been thinking about diving into novel translation. And meeting TinyTree in the hospital felt like the universe giving me a nudge.
Unlike him, I’ve got more time on my hands—no family to support, and due to my own health condition, I can only work part-time. So I’m going to put that time into bringing you the best translations I can.
Thank you for being here. I hope you’ll stick around for the next chapter of this journey.
Over and out,
The new TinyTree

All the best, hope both of you triumph over your illnesses.
