Chapter 33: Gesila???

A spirit-level anomaly appeared in District Six and was now rapidly moving underground towards District Five. The exact appearance of the creature was unknown, but given the intense surface vibrations, it was clear that this was another colossal entity.

Yinshuang was located in the central region of Dragon Country, an area with a high probability of exotic species appearing.

Typically, human-level or monster-level species would cause disturbances, while those above the underworld level were rare. However, within just a few days, two spirit-level anomalies appeared, much to everyone’s shock.

A few days ago, another anomaly had been dealt with by a mysterious person before it could enter the city, which was a stroke of luck and prevented major impacts. But this time, the creature appeared directly in the city and was moving towards the city center.

For now, it was still underground, causing panic among the populace. If it emerged from the ground, the consequences could be catastrophic.

Emergency alarms across every street in the district quickly notified the residents of District Five, prompting them to flee in all directions. The scene was chaotic, with people stumbling and bumping into each other. Additionally, residents of District Four began evacuating in a more orderly fashion.

As the creature continued moving underground, the tremors grew stronger. It was getting closer to the surface.

Gradually, small rocks on the ground started to bounce, and cracks began to appear on the road, spreading rapidly. The cracks widened quickly, and then slowed down.

Suddenly, a monster with black scales emerged from the crack. The scales covered its entire body, appearing thick and solid to the naked eye.

The creature had blood-red eyes and a long row of fangs. As its head surfaced, the rest of its massive body followed. With powerful legs supporting it, the creature fully revealed itself, standing about thirty meters tall with a robust, scale-armored body. Most notably, its limbs were equipped with two to three-meter-long sharp claws.

If Lin Xinyan and Shi Ji were present, they would immediately recognize that this spirit-level monster bore a striking resemblance to the previous Gesila. Apart from being larger, with longer and sharper claws and a more ferocious appearance, it looked almost identical to the previous lizard-like creature.

Once it fully emerged from the ground, the anomaly lifted its head and let out a roar.

Roar!

The deafening roar echoed in all directions, announcing its presence to humanity with great force.

Following the roar, the creature’s mouth glew red. After a brief energy buildup, it unleashed a powerful beam of energy.

Boom!

The red beam carried intense heat, felt from far away. As it shot out, it caused gusts of wind that toppled old buildings even before the beam hit. When the fiery beam struck, the area was left in ruins, turning into a sea of flames.

The creature didn’t stop there. The first attack seemed like an appetizer. The second attack was evidently more powerful, as it took longer to charge up. As the beam was fired, the creature slowly turned its body, completing a full circle. The surroundings were left in shambles, and the previously harmonious scene was completely destroyed.
