Chapter 811: Nicole Didn’t Suffer This for Nothing. She Won’t Get Away with It.
by tinytreeHart’s heart clenched. He stood at once and went to Nicole, looking her over from head to toe.
“Where did she hurt you?”
Still sobbing, Nicole rolled up her sleeve.
On the inside of her arm, in a concealed area, it was covered with needle marks. She rolled up her other sleeve. Both arms were densely covered with puncture marks in the hidden areas.
No wonder Nicole never wore sleeveless dresses. Even in the heat, she always wore long-sleeved princess gowns.
Hart stared at his daughter’s injured arms.
At that moment, he wanted to kill Yura.
The little princess he had cherished so carefully had been hurt like this because of his negligence.
Wang Yun stood as well and looked at the needle marks. Some were clearly recent; others were older, faint but still visible. There were too many to count, packed tightly together. Even an adult would have difficulty enduring that level of repeated injections.
Her arms were bruised and mottled purple.
As Hart looked at them, tears of anguish fell from his eyes.
He bent close and gently blew on her arm. His tears slid down his face and fell onto her injured skin.
“Let Daddy blow on it. It won’t hurt anymore.”
Seeing her father cry, Nicole, who had just managed to stop her tears, began sobbing again. She lifted her sleeve and wiped his tears.
“Daddy, don’t cry. It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Her composure only deepened Hart’s guilt.
He had focused solely on Yura’s reputation as the most renowned leukemia specialist and neglected to observe how she treated his daughter.
The gentleness and patience she displayed in front of him had all been false.
For a moment, the formidable tycoon who dominated the business world was filled only with remorse.
He thought about what to do next. Although Yura’s character was questionable, Nicole’s surgery was imminent. He had no choice but to endure it for now and monitor that woman closely in the future, making sure she never had another chance to hurt his daughter.
Helpless, Hart continued apologizing.
“Nicole, I’m sorry. Daddy is sorry. It’s all my fault. I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
He held his daughter tightly, repeating his apology.
Nicole hugged him back.
“Daddy, I really don’t hurt anymore. It’s okay. I’ve never blamed you or Mom. I know you’re doing this for me.”
Her maturity brought tears to Wang Yun’s and Thirteen’s eyes.
Wang Yun remembered something important.
“Nicole is very strong. But I have an important question to ask you. Is that alright?” he said gently to the father and daughter.
Hart turned and wiped the remaining tears from his face. Nicole lifted her red, tearful eyes and managed a smile.
“Big Brother Wang Yun, whatever you want to ask, just ask me.”
Wang Yun looked at her encouragingly.
“How often does Doctor Yura draw your blood? And how much does she take each time? Do you remember?”
Hart turned to Wang Yun in confusion.
Nicole lowered her head and thought for a moment.
“She draws my blood once a week. About half a test tube each time.” After a pause, she added calmly, “That bad woman said I should thank her. She uses my blood for experiments, and when she succeeds, I’ll be the first to use the results.”
Hart, already burning with anger, could no longer hold himself back and moved as if to go after her immediately.
Wang Yun reacted quickly and caught him by the arm.
Hart’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared at Wang Yun.
“You’re still stopping me? You heard how she treated Nicole. My daughter, whom I barely even dare touch! And she wants to use Nicole to test medicine!” he shouted.
Nicole stepped forward and hugged her father again, trying to calm him.
At that moment, Wang Yun called out, “Aviva, take Miss Nicole upstairs to rest. I need to speak with Mr. Hart.”
Aviva came from the kitchen and looked frightened at Hart’s furious expression.
Wang Yun turned to Nicole.
“Go rest with Aviva. Leave this to Big Brother. Your father and I will seek justice for you.”
Nicole sniffed and nodded firmly.
“Okay. Thank you, Big Brother Wang Yun.”
Wang Yun gently patted her head.
Nicole followed Aviva upstairs.
The dining room was left with Hart, still consumed by rage, Wang Yun, and Thirteen. Wang Yun walked over and placed a steadying hand on Hart’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry. Nicole calls me Big Brother. I won’t let this go.”
Hart turned to him, his face torn between fury and struggle.
“But Nicole’s surgery…”
Wang Yun gave a calm, reassuring smile.
“Leave it to me. Nicole didn’t suffer for nothing. And the surgery doesn’t have to be done by Yura.”
Hart assumed Wang Yun knew other capable doctors and did not press further.
At that moment, his thoughts were consumed by how to avenge his daughter. He swore he would not let that woman Yura get away with this.
