Chapter 833: No Matter How Much Yura Pays You, I’ll Give You Double
by tinytreeBetzi suddenly saw a large, well-defined hand appear in front of her, holding a pack of tissues.
Then the man’s low voice reached her ears.
“Your neck still seems to be bleeding a little. Take care of it first.”
Only then did Betzi realize the sharp sting in her neck. She instinctively reached up and touched it.
Her fingers came away wet, covered in blood.
She wiped the blood from her hand onto her clothes before carefully taking the tissues, softly thanking him.
“Thank you, sir.”
Hugh started the car and drove off. As he drove, he glanced at the woman through the rearview mirror.
She carefully held the tissue pack, gently pulling out a sheet to dab at her neck. Before long, the tissue was soaked through with blood.
The woman seemed troubled for a moment, unsure where to throw the used tissue.
After hesitating, Betzi simply set the tissue pack on the seat, stuffed the bloody tissue into her pocket, and pulled out another one to press against her neck.
Watching her actions, Hugh couldn’t help but shake his head.
“You don’t need to be afraid. We won’t hurt you. You already know we only want a portion of your bone marrow to save our boss’s daughter. She has a very severe case of leukemia. And don’t worry about the payment Yura promised you. We’ll give you every cent,” he said calmly.
After hearing Hugh’s explanation, Betzi nodded, showing that she understood.
Only then did she relax slightly. And almost immediately, she fell asleep.
When the car finally came to a stop, they had already arrived in front of a huge villa.
Hugh woke the woman who was still asleep.
“Miss Betzi, we’re here.”
Betzi opened her eyes groggily and rubbed them.
“Okay.”
She then followed Hugh toward the villa.
Hugh led her to the front door and rang the bell.
Aviva, who had already been waiting, quickly opened the door.
Hart was already waiting in the living room.
Betzi followed Hugh inside.
Hart looked at the somewhat nervous woman standing beside Hugh.
She was clearly just an ordinary person. She had probably never seen a mansion before. After entering, she didn’t even dare move, afraid she might dirty something.
Hugh had already called Hart on the way and briefly explained what had happened.
So by the time they arrived, Hart was already waiting on the sofa in the living room.
Seeing the woman standing there awkwardly, Hart quickly forced a polite smile.
“Hello, I’m Hart. Please have a seat. Aviva, bring two cups of tea for Hugh and this young lady.”
Hugh lowered his head slightly and said to Hart,
“Boss, I’ve brought her here. It’s late, so I’ll head back now.”
Hart nodded.
Aviva walked Hugh out and then poured another cup of tea for Betzi.
The person she was slightly more familiar with had already left.
Now she was alone in this luxurious European-style villa, sitting across from a powerful and influential businessman.
This only made Betzi more nervous.
She quickly waved her hands, indicating that she didn’t need any tea.
“Hello, Mr. Hart. You can just call me Betzi.”
At that moment, Aviva brought the tea over.
Betzi hurriedly accepted it with both hands, her expression tense as she quickly thanked her.
“Thank you.”
Seeing how nervous she was, Hart smiled gently to reassure her.
“Miss Betzi, is it? Please have some tea first and calm your nerves. I’m truly sorry that we had to meet under such circumstances.”
Hart spoke very politely. Coupled with his mature and steady appearance, he gave off the impression of a reliable middle-aged gentleman. And during the ride over, Hugh had already briefly explained why Hart wanted to see her.
Only then did she relax a little.
Holding the teacup with both hands, she took a couple of small sips before finally daring to look up at Hart and speak.
“It’s alright, Mr. Hart. On the way here, that gentleman briefly explained why you wanted to see me.”
Hart noticed the wound on Betzi’s neck and frowned.
“Did Hugh cause that injury on your neck?”
Betzi quickly shook her head.
“No, Mr. Hart. That gentleman didn’t hurt me. This wound was caused by Dr. Yura…”
Hart could easily imagine Yura’s hysterical behavior. Turning to Aviva beside him, he said,
“Go get the medical kit and help Miss Betzi treat the wound.”
Aviva immediately went upstairs. The medical kit was still in Nicole’s room.
Feeling a little overwhelmed by the attention, Betzi shook her head repeatedly. The sudden movement pulled at the wound on her neck, causing her to gasp in pain.
“Hiss—”
Hart quickly said with concern, “Miss Betzi, please try not to move. Aviva will treat the wound for you in a moment. I’m truly sorry that today’s events caused you harm.”
Betzi quickly replied,
“It’s alright, Mr. Hart. It should heal in a few days.”
Before long, Aviva returned with the medical kit.
She disinfected the wound, applied medicine, and finally wrapped it with a bandage.
Seeing this, Hart continued speaking.
“Miss Betzi, as you already know, the reason I asked you to come is that you are currently the only person whose bone marrow matches my daughter’s. I contacted you simply because I hope you can help save her through the transplant surgery.”
Betzi originally wanted to nod, but the slight movement made her neck hurt again, so she spoke instead.
“I understand, Mr. Hart. And Miss Yura has already paid me the deposit.”
Hart nodded.
“I don’t care how much Yura promised you. Rest assured, whatever amount she offered, I will give you double.”
