    Chapter Index

By nine-thirty that night, the bar had reached its peak hour.

Colin was tense as he made round after round through the main hall, scanning the place from end to end.

Then he spotted a table of guests. There were seven of them in total—six men and one woman. Every last one of them had brightly dyed hair, and their clothes were just as loud and colorful.

One look was enough to tell they were a bunch of rebellious kids in their early twenties.

Colin shook his head as he watched them, then glanced at the head of security to confirm whether these were the troublemakers who had been showing up every day.

The security captain gave him a nod.

So Colin walked straight toward their table while everyone else held their positions.

The moment they saw someone approaching, the young punks all tensed up and turned to look at the green-haired guy seated in the middle.

It was obvious that this green-haired youth was the leader of the group.

He looked around. He saw that Colin was alone and gestured for the others not to panic.

Then he stayed where he was and waited for Colin to come over.

Colin stopped beside the table with a smile plastered across his face. Looking at the green-haired punk in the middle, he said, “Kid, I heard someone’s been coming here lately to stir up trouble. Was that you?”

The others all looked at the green-haired youth, while he forced himself to stay calm and met Colin’s gaze.

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand. I wasn’t even here the last few days.”

“You weren’t? That’s fine. Since you’re here today, I’ll make the call myself. How about I treat you all to a few drinks in one of the private rooms?” Colin said, still smiling.

The green-haired youth looked at this smiling man. Even though Colin had a grin on his face, one glance was enough to tell he was no good person.

    He refused on the spot.

“No need. We’re fine right here.”

“I’m afraid that’s not up to you.” Colin smiled mysteriously.

With that, he raised a hand.

The green-haired youth immediately sensed things had gone bad and tried to run.

But he had barely gotten to his feet before more than a dozen men closed in around them. They were the plainclothes security guards Colin had arranged beforehand.

They escorted the rainbow-haired punks to Colin’s office without making a sound.

On the large screen in the office, footage was playing of them coming here over the past few days to cause trouble.

The moment they saw that, panic set in.

It was obvious their movements had already been exposed.

Colin sat down in his office chair.

The security guards stood by the door, while the group of youths remained in the middle of the room.

Suddenly, the green-haired one stepped up to the far side of the desk. Colin did not stop him. The youth raised his fist and swung straight at Colin’s face.

Colin merely lifted one arm and caught his fist.

The two of them were not even on the same level.

Colin could not be bothered to fight him seriously, but the green-haired youth still refused to give up. He raised his other hand and struck at Colin’s face again.

    Colin caught the fist again.

Seeing their boss subdued so easily, the others exchanged glances and all rushed forward.

Colin let go, stood up, and walked around to the other side of the desk.

“I’ll give you a chance today. You can all come at me together. If you can knock me down, I won’t say another word. I’ll let you walk out right now.”

A flash of joy crossed the green-haired youth’s face, but then suspicion followed close behind.

He looked at Colin and asked uncertainly, “You mean that?”

    Colin only smiled faintly.

“Other than trusting me, do you have any other way of getting out that door?”

The green-haired youth thought it over and realized he had a point.

He exchanged a look with his companions. Then the whole rainbow-haired bunch charged at Colin at once.

These youths were all skinny and weak. Colin casually stuck out a leg and kicked at the red-haired one who tried to attack him from behind.

The red-haired youth dropped to the floor on the spot and did not get back up.

Then Colin threw a punch at the blue-haired youth.

He went down just as quickly.

Before long, the only one still left standing was a purple-haired girl.

At that moment, the green-haired youth lying on the floor suddenly shouted, “Gladys, call the police! Tell them someone’s assaulting people here!”

Colin raised a brow as he watched the girl tremblingly reach into her pocket.

Then he said softly, “Go ahead and call. I haven’t handed over the surveillance footage to the police yet anyway. If you call them now, that saves me the trouble. When they get here, we’ll see whether they take you away or me.”

    The group fell silent.

The girl held the phone. She was unsure whether she should make the call.

She turned to the green-haired youth on the floor, looking to him for guidance.

Only then did he speak again.

“Why did you bring us to your office?”

Seeing that Colin did not seem intent on dealing with them further, the green-haired youth quietly let out a sigh of relief.

In an instant, the smile vanished from Colin’s face.

    “Who sent you?”

All of them abruptly turned their heads in unison and looked away, refusing to meet Colin’s eyes.

    Colin was a little surprised.

“Fine. Since you’re all so loyal, I won’t force you.”

With that, Colin took the lead and walked out of the office.

The moment he stepped outside, he told the head of security to post men at the door and make sure none of them came out.

Seeing that Colin and the others had really left just like that, the youths hurried to find comfortable positions to get through the night.

Only the green-haired leader felt vaguely uneasy.

He looked around, then went to the door and gave it a pull.

Sure enough, everyone was gone, and the door had been locked from the outside.
