Chapter 884: So You’re a Sickly Cat After All!
by tinytreeColin failed to catch the deeper meaning behind Baren’s words and simply asked out of curiosity, “Why? Is that boss too ashamed to be seen?”
Baren shook his head.
“Maybe he just wants to keep up the mystery. A lot of the people who made trouble here were important figures in Mu City, but they were still dealt with easily enough. And according to the rumors, those people are neither seen alive nor found dead now.”
Hearing that, Colin looked stunned.
“The boss behind this place did that?”
Baren nodded.
“That’s what everyone says, that the person behind it did it. But no one has any proof. Even the police haven’t been able to do anything.”
After saying that, Baren shook his head again.
“So let’s just go there, fight the match properly, and leave the other thoughts alone.”
As he spoke, Baren gave Wang Yun a meaningful look.
Colin, however, didn’t hear the hidden meaning in his words at all. He thought his boss was simply sharing what he knew with them.
Wang Yun’s fingers, which had been idly playing with the ring, stilled for a moment. But his expression didn’t change in the slightest. If anything, a trace of interested amusement appeared on his face.
“No wonder that arena is so twisted. So the boss behind it isn’t a good person either.”
Colin nodded in agreement.
“Anyone running a place like that would hardly be some kind-hearted saint.”
Wang Yun nodded as well.
After that, Baren fell completely silent and didn’t say another word.
Colin and Wang Yun also stopped talking, each occupied with his own thoughts.
Only Wang Yun’s hand kept idly turning the ring on his finger from time to time.
What Baren had just said only strengthened Wang Yun’s resolve to help Officer Samson wipe out this entire operation.

Samson watched the signal receiver in the car as fresh signals came through from time to time.
Speaking into the radio, he said, “All units, follow my command and move out. No police cars. Switch to private vehicles. Do not follow too closely. I’ll keep sending out their position in the group chat at irregular intervals. Remember, do not follow too closely. We finally got a lead on Blood Banquet. And this time, they actually dared to hold an event in Mu City. That’s a direct provocation against the authority of our police force. For the sake of those innocent civilians, we are taking them all down today!”
The more Samson spoke, the more his blood surged with emotion.
He thought of those missing people.
And in his heart, he made a silent vow that no matter what price he had to pay, he would tear out this cancer by the roots.
At that moment, two signals appeared in the same location.
Samson knew at once that Wang Yun and the others had arrived at Blood Banquet’s base.
He posted the final location in the operations group chat.
Then, holding the radio, Samson addressed everyone involved in the operation.
“All units, listen up, the informant has entered Blood Banquet. Hide yourselves properly around the perimeter! Don’t get too close. Do not expose yourselves. Everything during the operation will follow command. Do not act rashly! The informant’s safety is the top priority. You must protect the informant’s safety! After that, protect your own! On the condition that everyone stays safe, we are taking every last one of them down!”
“Squad One, received!”
“Squad Two, received!”
“Squad Three, received!”
“Squad Four, received!”
…
“Squad Eight, received!”
For this operation, Samson had mobilized every single person he could currently command. He intended to capture everyone connected to Blood Banquet without letting a single one slip through.

Meanwhile, Baren, Wang Yun, Colin, and several bodyguards had all once again arrived at Blood Banquet.
When they came yesterday, they had gone straight to the end of the corridor and into Blood Banquet’s main hall.
But this time, since the match would only begin at night, Blood Banquet had prepared resting quarters for every guest.
That alone showed just how vast this place really was.
A waiter walked ahead of them, leading the group toward one of the suites.
“Gentlemen, you may rest here for now.”
Baren smiled at the waiter.
“Alright, we understand. You can go on with your work. No need to worry about us.”
Hearing that, the waiter nodded to them and left at once.
Just as the group turned and was about to enter the room, they suddenly heard a mocking voice.
“I was wondering who’d shown up. So it’s the sickly cat.”
“Hahaha…”
The laugh that followed was shrill and unpleasant.
The group turned to look.
The one who had spoken was that fat man, Walter.
Standing beside him now was a powerfully built middle-aged man.
This time, in the face of Walter’s provocation, both Baren and Colin unexpectedly chose silence.
In the quiet corridor, the atmosphere grew a little strange.
Wang Yun looked at the tall, broad-shouldered man standing opposite them. This should be Achir, the six-time champion.
No wonder he had managed to win six matches in a row.
That body full of muscle, just standing there quietly, was enough to put immense pressure.
But Wang Yun wasn’t fazed by that sort of thing at all.
Looking at the two men across from him, he smiled instead.
That reaction left not only the two men opposite him stunned, but even Baren and Colin beside him staring at him in confusion.
