Chapter 106: A Lifetime Boast

Coming out of his dizziness, Joey was just about to fight back. The next moment, he found himself lifted into the air. No, he was being held up high by a single hand.

His body was suddenly slammed down. Headfirst. The hand gripping his neck pressed down hard.

Joey’s head hit violently with the ship’s deck, leaving him limp and unconscious, like a pile of mud.

“It’s best not to touch your waist, or anything around it,” Xiao Yu said, slowly straightening up and smiling grimly at Yang Zhichao, “I will kill you.”

A chill shot up from Yang Zhichao’s heels to the back of his head. His scalp tingled. He dared not move an inch, because he knew, this handsome young man meant what he said.

Xiao Yu turned his gaze from Yang Zhichao to the terrified Ma Hexuan, “I really didn’t expect it. It wasn’t someone else forcing you, but you wanting to kill them.”

“…”

Ma Hexuan’s body started trembling, his face pale and bloodless.

“For a piece of software, four lives.” Xiao Yu coldly asked, “Was it worth it?”

Ma Hexuan shook uncontrollably. He was barely able to remain seated.

“No, people like you never think about these things.”

Xiao Yu shook his head. Suddenly, he raised his arm and grabbed a wrist holding a gun.  In an instant, his knee came up.

Crack!

Xiao Yu broke the gun-wielding arm and caught the falling gun.

“Ah~”

Yang Zhichao let out a piercing scream. But he only got halfway through. Xiao Yu’s fist struck his chin.

With one punch, the jawbone fractured and dislocated.

Yang Zhichao fell to the ground. Even as he lost consciousness, his body twitched.

“I told you, don’t move.” Xiao Yu coldly looked at Yang Zhichao on the ground. “I will kill you.”

The smell of urine filled the air.

Xiao Yu turned his head and looked at the trembling Ma Hexuan.

Could you believe it? This scumbag, who had killed three people, had wet himself? No, it wasn’t Xiao Yu’s actions that scared him. He must have realized what his fate would be.

“I can hand over the research software to the country,” Ma Hexuan suddenly screamed, looking pitifully at Xiao Yu and begging, “I, I don’t want to die!”

Ma Hexuan jumped up and charged at Xiao Yu.

Ma Hexuan collapsed to the ground, limp.

The soft ribs are a vulnerable spot. Being hit there causes excruciating pain.

Xiao Yu bent down, looked at the twitching Ma Hexuan on the ground, and grinned, “Hurts, doesn’t it?”

Ma Hexuan, “…”

The unbearable pain left him speechless.

“It should hurt.” Xiao Yu said softly, “My colleague felt a lot of pain too. Your days of suffering are just beginning.”

Ma Hexuan’s face showed utter despair. Not only did he wet himself, but he also soiled himself.

Outside the cabin, Xiao Yu looked at Shao Jiafu. He wanted to smile, but couldn’t.

An exhausted Xiao Yu walked to his doorstep.

His wife should be at work at this time.

He was so tired. He wanted to sleep for ages. He entered the code on the villa’s electronic lock and opened the door.

The moment he stepped into the hall, his eyes widened.

Her long, curled eyelashes fluttered, she opened her eyes and sat up. Her silky black hair flowed down like water. Mu Qingwu’s delicate body suddenly stiffened. A look of surprise and joy flashed in her eyes.

No longer shy, Mu Qingwu’s face, as gentle and smooth as jade, lit up with warmth.

“Of course.”

Xiao Yu took three days off.

For most people, Captain Zhao Changshan of the Criminal Investigation Brigade wouldn’t grant it. But Xiao Yu wasn’t most people, so he agreed.

The jailbreak case was solved.

When he heard the news, Zhao Changshan felt like he was living in a dream.

However, seeing his subordinate become the chief commander of the entire city’s police force made the dream feel quite real.

In the office, the captain of the Criminal Investigation Brigade and the instructor were sitting together, drinking tea.

“Old Zhou,” Zhao Changshan looked at his partner, “how are we going to command the kid in the future?”

“Command?” Zhou Tinghu laughed. “Are you sure it’s not going to be him commanding us?”

“Haha!” Zhao Changshan was amused. “Yes, can you believe that just a few days ago, he was directing a group of chiefs and directors?”

“What’s so strange about that?” Zhou Tinghu replied with a smile. “A soaring eagle, his place is in the sky.”

Zhao Changshan nodded, smiling happily.
