Chapter 10: Too Much Nonsense
by tinytreeLin Xinyan’s eyes were cold as she continued to stare seriously at the anomaly in front of her.
Gesila’s head began to crack, revealing the layer of scales underneath. Gesila didn’t waste any time. As the outer scales broke, its claws tore at them simultaneously.
Lin Xinyan knew just how hard those scales were. Yet, in the hands of this anomaly, they were easily torn apart. The disparity was truly terrifying.
As Gesila ripped off large pieces of its scales, Lin Xinyan saw the creature’s true form beneath the armor.
To her surprise, beneath the seemingly bloated exterior lay a skeleton-like body, covered in scales.
Lin Xinyan was speechless. She had sensed something was off earlier. After breaking through Gesila’s outer scales, she found another, even thicker layer inside. Even with all her strength, breaking through was nearly impossible.
Although detection devices rarely made errors, discrepancies did exist. The difference between near-Spirit level and Spirit level was such a discrepancy. She now believed this lizard was of a quasi-Spirit level. The outer scales likely caused the misreading.
Knowing this now was too late, but Lin Xinyan had no regrets. As a hero, it was her duty to help others and eliminate anomalies.
The outer layer of scales had completely fallen off, revealing Ge Si La’s true form. This explained its astonishing speed.
Facing such a powerful anomaly, Lin Xinyan accepted the possibility of death. Her only desire now was to inflict as much damage on Gesila as possible. Even a little would be a victory.
Gesila closed its eyes, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
“Hmm… it feels great to shed that shell. It’s like experiencing freedom within freedom.”
Gesilla was leisurely because it knew Lin Xinyan couldn’t escape. It didn’t attack immediately.
After several deep breaths, Gesila finally turned towards Lin Xinyan, its claws moving rhythmically, signaling imminent danger.
“Well, my dear friend, let’s continue our game of freedom.”
As soon as it finished speaking, Gesila vanished.
Lin Xinyan looked around, finding no trace of it. She could feel the turbulent air currents around her, indicating Gesila’s incredible speed.
Gesila could attack at any moment, but instead, it delighted in circling her, showing off its speed and power.
Lin Xinyan felt powerless but didn’t give up. She still searched for Gesila’s position. Suddenly, a voice came from behind her, making her freeze.
“Quit dawdling, are you not tired of this nonsense?”
After the voice, there were sounds of impact and screams.
Bang!
“Ah!!!”
A gust of wind swept past, nearly knocking Lin Xinyan off her feet, her hair flying wildly.
A dark figure flashed by her.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of crashing sounds followed, and the dark figure finally stopped after knocking down a dozen trees.
Lin Xinyan knew the figure that had been sent flying was Gesila. Without looking closely, she turned to see who had spoken.
Behind her stood a young man in black clothes, looking handsome and smiling.
