Chapter 104: A Visitor

In almost every academy, there was an unspoken rule. Boys were not allowed into the girls’ dormitory, but girls could enter the boys’ dormitory. To some extent, this was unfair, but it was what it was, and boys had to accept it.

As soon as a girl entered the boys’ dormitory, all the boys in the hallway stared, wide-eyed. And this girl was not just any girl.

“Whoa! It’s Lin Xinyan! Am I seeing things?”

“No, you’re not seeing things. I see her too.”

“What is Lin Xinyan doing in the boys’ dorm? This is the first time I’ve heard of this. What’s going on?”

“Hey, look! She’s stopped and is knocking on a door. I think a new student lives there.”

“A new student? How did a new guy get involved with Lin Xinyan, the campus beauty? Is there no justice?”

“Look, the door’s opening.”

“She went in.”

“The door is closed.”

Shi Ji had always been a laid-back person. If it weren’t for Xinyan’s reminders, he would always be this nonchalant.

Lin Xinyan was also curious about what Shi Ji’s dorm would look like. Given his personality, she initially thought it would be messy. But once she walked in, she found that it was not only neat but also very clean.

She glanced around and, aside from the unmade bed, she couldn’t find a single flaw.

Lin Xinyan’s eyes then shifted to the ugly, scratched “General” character carved on the high wall by the bed.

She turned back to look at Shi Ji, “I have to hand it to you. You actually scribbled on the wall. But with your rapid rise in the arena, even if you sell all your extra credits, any fines you incur won’t be a big deal.”

Shi Ji chuckled, quickly pulled over a chair, and said, “Here, Xinyan, have a seat. Sorry to keep you waiting. Rest for a moment. I’ll quickly tidy up my bed and wash up.”

As he spoke, Shi Ji hurriedly began tidying his bed.

What Shi Ji didn’t know was that Xinyan had anticipated he’d sleep in. She timed her visit accordingly, so she hadn’t waited long. After all, considering what happened at the academy last night, few people likely had a good night’s sleep.

Seeing Shi Ji’s slightly foolish demeanor, Xinyan simply chuckled to herself and didn’t reveal the truth.

“You were the one at the square in front of the supermarket last night, and the one barbecuing in the field outside the academy, right?”

Although she was almost certain it was Shi Ji from the single slipper, Xinyan still hoped he would admit it himself.

Shi Ji, seemingly without any intention of hiding it, responded, “Oh, I got hungry last night. I went to the supermarket to find something to eat and ran into a big frog, so I took one of its arms.”

“You really will eat anything.”

“No, I mean, the academy people are really annoying. What were they doing wandering around outside in the middle of the night? My meat had just finished cooking, and they chased me away before I could eat. If I wasn’t worried about them docking my credits, I wouldn’t have run.”

Shi Ji was truly an interesting person.

After hearing Shi Ji’s story, Xinyan covered her mouth and laughed softly.
