Chapter 110: Conflict
by tinytreeBesides Black Dragon and Blade, the only other person here was Shi Ji.
To Shi Ji, many heroes were too full of themselves, and Blade, with his high and mighty attitude, was one of those people.
Blade’s behavior was exactly what Shi Ji despised. He didn’t mind lending a hand to correct it.
It was not an exaggeration to say that Black Dragon and Blade had considerable standing in the hero community. Being S-level heroes was no joke, and they had countless fans.
Given this situation, it was surprising that someone dared to speak so arrogantly.
Black Dragon didn’t mind much, as it was clear the comment wasn’t directed at him, but at Blade.
Black Dragon never approved of Blade’s methods. Blade was too autocratic. There’s nothing wrong with making oneself stronger, but constantly imposing on others’ time for personal reasons was unacceptable.
At this moment, Black Dragon was a bit concerned for the person who just spoke.
Both Black Dragon and Blade turned their heads towards the voice and saw a young man with his left hand in his pocket walking over from the seating area.
When Black Dragon saw Shi Ji, he was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure.
He hadn’t expected the young guy he encountered earlier to be here. Right, this guy had asked for the way to the lounge. Now, this kid had the audacity to talk to Blade like that.
Blade’s face, which had a hint of a smile earlier, now showed a sharp, displeased look.
He immediately recognized the voice as the same one from earlier. He hadn’t said much before because of Lin Xinyan and had tolerated the chattering. But now, this kid was being outright disrespectful.
Though Blade had a good temperament given his status and position, everyone had their limits. At this moment, Blade’s limit seemed to be rapidly approaching.
“Kid, are you looking for trouble?” Blade said coldly.
Shi Ji remained relaxed, completely unconcerned about Blade’s reaction.
“I’m just correcting your mistake. An S-level hero behaving like this makes me question your worth as a hero.”
Black Dragon stared at Shi Ji, initially thinking he might apologize. But Shi Ji’s attitude was quite the opposite.
‘This kid… he’s got guts.’
Just then, the sound of running footsteps echoed through the hallway. Shortly after, a girl in a white dress rushed to Black Dragon’s side, nearly crashing into him with her sudden stop.
Black Dragon glanced over. “Oh, it’s you, Xinyan.”
It was indeed Lin Xinyan, who had just finished the meeting and was coming to find Shi Ji.
Seeing Black Dragon, Lin Xinyan greeted him immediately, “Ah, Instructor Black Dragon, you’re here too.”
Black Dragon smiled. “The exit is over there. You went the wrong way.”
She looked a bit embarrassed. “No, I came here to find someone.”
As she spoke, she glanced towards the lounge and noticed Blade standing at the doorway and Shi Ji not far away, smiling and waving at her.
At this point, Black Dragon looked at Shi Ji again, recalling the young man who had accompanied Lin Xinyan during her advancement test. Seeing him now, he realized it was indeed the same person.
If it were just anyone, Black Dragon might have said a few casual words, but since this was Xinyan’s friend, he had to take it seriously.
Facing Blade, Black Dragon coughed twice.
“They are all my students. You understand what I mean, Blade.”
Blade, still staring at Shi Ji, responded, “What about our duel…”
Blade was indeed more concerned about the duel.
“After this is over, I’ll meet you.”
In that instant, Blade looked at Black Dragon and suddenly laughed, “Haha! Now that’s more like it. I’ll be waiting.”
Then he turned to Shi Ji. “Kid, I’ll let you off this time because of Black Dragon. If you act so arrogant again…”
Leaving the sentence unfinished, he patted Black Dragon on the shoulder and left.
Although she didn’t know exactly what had happened, the tense atmosphere told Lin Xinyan that Shi Ji might have caused trouble again.
