Chapter 124: Grandson

As expected, Shi Ji was the last one to arrive.

Today’s Shi Ji was still the same as yesterday’s. He didn’t have the time or inclination to dress up like Xing Yuxiu.

Seeing the group from afar, Shi Ji approached, waving his hand at them from a distance.

Xing Yuxiu covered his face, looking exasperated. He felt embarrassed for Shi Ji. Shi Lin also chuckled, seemingly sharing Xing Yuxiu’s sentiment.

Lin Xinyan pouted, looking displeased.

“Hmph! What do you mean by ‘you’re here too’? Are you saying you don’t welcome me?”

Shi Ji finally realized his earlier words were inappropriate.

So, what was initially supposed to be a date between Shi Ji and Shi Lin turned into a trio with Xing Yuxiu and then a quartet with Lin Xinyan joining. Shi Lin didn’t mind. The more, the merrier.

As they left the academy and walked toward the road, Shi Ji kept eyeing the somewhat nervous Xing Yuxiu.

Looking at his outfit, Shi Ji casually said, “Hey, didn’t you say last night you’d dress up and get a cool hairstyle today? The clothes are fine, but what’s with your hair? Looks like you’ve got a bird’s nest on your head.”

Xing Yuxiu felt immense pressure. Shi Ji, that rascal, really had no filter, blurting out everything.

Seeing both Shi Lin and Lin Xinyan looking at him, Xing Yuxiu felt embarrassed. But he had to respond somehow. Saying nothing would make him look like an idiot.
