Chapter 28: Interception

Jing Xin was originally an instructor at the Star Hero Academy and only came to Yinshuang Academy for a temporary teaching assignment.

She had heard about Shi Ji, the first student to be expelled from the Star Hero Academy. It was said that he entered the academy due to a coincidental event.

The Star Hero Academy was the largest advanced talent output institution for heroes. It not only gathered talents from all over the world but also had the best instructors and the best training equipment globally.

A good academy was undoubtedly a crucial step for students aspiring to become future heroes. Various aspects of an academy could influence the growth of a future hero. Many ordinary students worldwide dreamed of studying there.

Shi Ji, a soldier-tier Star, entering the academy due to a coincidence, was an oddity among oddities. Shi Ji never felt proud or honored about being at the Star Hero Academy. His usual behavior showed his disdain for this top-tier academy.

Shi Ji never paid attention in class, never took any task assigned by the instructors seriously, and rarely participated in activities. He spent most of his time sleeping, thus wasting an entire year. A year was incredibly important for a student with a Star, especially at the Star Hero Academy.

Because Shi Ji’s behavior contradicted the Star Hero Academy’s educational philosophy, the academy decided to expel him with the unanimous approval of all instructors. However, due to his Star status, he was transferred to Yinshuang Academy in central Dragon Country.

After hearing about this, Jing Xin didn’t pay much attention and, like other instructors, looked down on him. Until she met Shi Ji in person yesterday.

Annoyed by some of his comments, she decided to teach him a lesson. She was genuinely angry but held back. She wanted to give him a light punishment, thinking he was just a worthless student expelled from the Star Hero Academy. She didn’t want to seriously injure him.

However, Shi Ji’s reactions completely exceeded her expectations. 

Despite her repeated attacks, this so-called worthless student stood firm, blocking every single one. As her attacks failed, she gradually increased their intensity. But the outcome remained the same.

Failing to teach Shi Ji a lesson, Jing Xin’s view of him changed significantly. He was far stronger than she had imagined. If properly evaluated, he would rank among the top students at the Star Hero Academy.

At that moment, Jing Xin had an idea. She personally accompanied Shi Ji to complete the necessary procedures. Since Shi Ji was expelled, he was placed in a regular class at Yinshuang Academy. 

Jing Xin, despite finding Shi Ji unruly and annoying, didn’t want to completely bury such an interesting guy. She intercepted the process and directly took Shi Ji under her wing.

That evening, Jing Xin was sorting through some documents when an email caught her attention, making her abandon her current task.

The email contained an attachment, a document titled “Shi Ji’s Information.”

Jing Xin’s lips curved into a smile as she moved the mouse and opened the file.
