The alert sounds at the Anomaly Monitoring Center were categorized based on the levels of the monster detected. Due to their rarity, Spirit-level and above anomalies species shared the same alert sound. The rapid ringing that had just been heard indicated the presence of a Spirit-level or higher anomaly.

Under the direction of the supervisor, all staff members were immediately on high alert, swiftly processing information.

The destructive power of a Spirit-level anomaly was tremendous. A delayed warning could result in significant civilian casualties before they had time to evacuate.

The numerous staff members were all elites in handling such incidents, adept at their tasks.

Shortly after, one staff member identified the source of the anomaly’s energy fluctuations and quickly pulled up satellite imagery showing the energy source. Meanwhile, other staff members brought up real-time street surveillance footage.

The supervisor scrutinized the large screen in front of him, carefully reviewing the information displayed.

When all the information was presented, the entire hall fell silent. Everyone was left speechless, mouths half-open.

“Wh-what, that thing is moving rapidly underground! Quickly! Issue an emergency alert for District Five East. Urging people to take shelter,” the supervisor barked orders before turning to another staff member nearby. “Get in touch with the Star Hero Academy branch immediately!”

Two staff members, each with their own responsibilities, acted without delay.

At that moment, the hall’s automatic doors opened, and a tall, burly man in a brown trench coat walked in. This man was a hardened figure, with a muscular build and a distinct scar on his rugged face. His spiky black hair complemented his tough demeanor.

Noticing someone entering, the supervisor hurried over in a panic.

“Director…Director!”

He moved quickly, showing no hesitation.

The burly man was Hei Long, the director of this Monitoring Center branch.

The alarm covered the entire branch, and Hei Long was alerted immediately. He rushed to the control hall without wasting a second.

He didn’t acknowledge the supervisor’s greeting, focusing instead on the large display screen and quickly assessing the situation.

“Yinshuang City has been quite lively lately. Another Spirit-level already, within just a few days. Have you contacted the Star Hero Academy?” he spoke calmly.

Before the supervisor could reply, the staff member responsible for contacting the Star Hero Academy spoke up sternly.

“Reporting to the Director, we have just contacted them. The Star Hero Academy was also alerted immediately. They have already dispatched an S-level hero, along with several A-level and B-level heroes to intercept.”

Receiving this response, Hei Long remained silent, his eyes fixed on the screen displaying the rapidly moving entity. His stern face grew more tense.

“No, Yinshuang City doesn’t have many S-level heroes. To ensure nothing goes wrong, I’ll go myself.” He turned to the supervisor. “Keep monitoring and contact me immediately if there’s any change.”

The supervisor nodded hastily. “Yes, sir!”

After giving these instructions, Hei Long took off his trench coat, revealing his muscular chest and powerful physique. The display of strength became even more evident. He tossed his coat casually to the supervisor and left without looking back.
