Chapter 64: Shi Ji is an Arrogant Loser
by tinytreeShi Ji wasn’t one to hold grudges. He had said what he needed to and didn’t see the point in holding onto negative emotions.
With a chuckle, he felt much lighter.
“I think you should take them to the Star Hero Academy for a look. They aren’t worthy of being heroes yet.”
“I heard everything you said earlier. Indeed, they need a harsher environment to toughen up. I’ve been planning this for a while.”
Jing Xin, as the teacher in charge of Class A, was fully aware of her students’ issues. Even if Shi Ji hadn’t mentioned it, she had already considered it.
Shi Ji pondered. Although he always saw Jing Xin as a little girl in both appearance and personality, she was actually quite shrewd. He realized he had underestimated her.
With another chuckle, an idea struck him.
“So, you had this plan all along. You intercepted me halfway, brought me here, and now you want to send me back to the Star Hero Academy? Ha! Sorry, but I have to decline. I think an ordinary class suits me better.”
Seeing her true intentions guessed, Jing Xin pouted, feeling a bit annoyed.
“Come with me.”
They walked to a corner.
“You have great skills, and I didn’t want to waste your talent, so I brought you to Class A. But since you’re determined to leave, I won’t stop you. I was actually planning to give you a hard time.”
“Oh, how straightforward.”
“You’re not staying in my class anymore, so why not be straightforward?”
Neither noticed that their usual bickering had turned into a more amicable conversation.
Jing Xin walked over to the side and used her wristband to contact someone. Listening to the conversation, Shi Ji realized she was arranging a class transfer for him.
Shi Ji often joked with Jing Xin, but he was thankful she didn’t insist on him staying and was so accommodating. He felt a hint of gratitude towards her.
Five or six minutes later, Jing Xin returned.
“I’ve transferred you to Class B downstairs. I’ve already informed the teacher there. Just head over. As for the transfer paperwork, don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
Shi Ji’s opinion of Jing Xin shifted with her unexpected kindness. He couldn’t help but pat her head.
“Hey! Thanks, Teacher Jing Xin!”
Before Jing Xin could react, he darted off, fearing she’d chase after him. As he ran, her voice echoed behind him.
“You rotten Shi Ji, you jerk!”
It took Jing Xin a while to calm down, her pouting clearly showing her girlish frustration.
Inside the classroom, the students were still buzzing with discussions.
Seeing Jing Xin enter, the girl Shi Ji had rebuked earlier immediately asked, “Teacher, who was that guy? He was so arrogant. Just insufferable.”
Jing Xin didn’t hide it. “That guy was Shi Ji, originally from the Star Hero Academy, who was supposed to join our class.”
“What? That guy was… That jerk! He pretended to be a new teacher and spouted so much nonsense!”
“A Soldier Rank, and so arrogant. That’s the worst.”
“Yeah, just a loser the Star Hero Academy didn’t want. How dare he say such things.”
Amidst all the insults towards Shi Ji, Lin Xinyan remained indifferent. She stood up and asked, “Teacher, where did he go?”
Jing Xin had returned alone without Shi Ji, which worried Lin Xinyan.
Jing Xin smiled. “He was sent to Class B.”
Upon hearing it was Class B, Lin Xinyan’s worries faded, and she even smiled.
