Chapter 80: A Conversation
by tinytreeAfterward, Jing Xin led over the dozen boys to the training grounds. The grounds were vast, and several other classes were already engaged in their practical combat lessons.
The other classes were all engaged in one-on-one matches. The winners would seek out other winners to challenge, creating a very orderly and structured environment.
Upon arriving at the designated area, Jing Xin didn’t bother with any formalities.
“Begin,” she said simply.
Just like that, the boys started getting ready to fight.
At that moment, an unexpected voice broke the tension, “Instructor, I need to go to the restroom.”
Everyone was stunned. The speaker was none other than Shi Ji.
Jing Xin’s expression darkened. She was about to say something, but Shi Ji had already turned and run off. Jing Xin clenched her small fists, forcibly suppressing her anger.
The others were either looking at the departing Shi Ji or staring at the clearly irritated Jing Xin.
“Begin,” Jing Xin repeated, her voice carrying a hint of her suppressed fury.
Although her voice was not loud, everyone heard it clearly. Her tone alone conveyed her anger. Unlike Shi Ji, they didn’t dare to provoke Jing Xin. Without saying anything more, they started their brawl.
Shi Ji spent about five minutes in the restroom. Feeling refreshed, he stepped out and hadn’t walked far before he stopped.
Not far ahead stood a short girl in formal attire, arms crossed.
Jing Xin’s expression had softened somewhat but still looked displeased. She stared at Shi Ji with a stern look that would make anyone else uncomfortable. However, Shi Ji was unfazed.
“Oh, Instructor Jing Xin, you’re here too? The ladies’ restroom is over there. You went the wrong way,” Shi Ji said, even though he knew she was there to confront him, making a joke at her expense.
Jing Xin’s expression remained unchanged as she spoke, “You, can you behave for once? Do you really think I can’t deal with you?”
Shi Ji chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
“I really couldn’t hold it in earlier.”
Jing Xin sighed, looking a bit exasperated.
“I really can’t handle you. I’m still an instructor, you know. Can’t you show me some respect? You keep making me look bad. If this gets out, how am I supposed to continue here?”
Shi Ji had already changed a lot. Back at the Star Hero Academy, his antics could make instructors lose their temper directly.
“Heh! Since you helped me with the transfer and the uniform, I’ll cut you some slack. Deal, Instructor Jing Xin.”
Although Shi Ji’s tone was casual, the last phrase “Instructor Jing Xin” sounded genuinely respectful.
Jing Xin’s serious expression relaxed, and she turned to leave.
“Follow me. If you can be the last one standing in the melee, I might consider awarding you some extra points.”
Shi Ji immediately became serious, a sly smile appearing on his face.
“Oh? You should have said so earlier. I could have beaten them all first, then gone to the restroom.”
Saying this, Shi Ji followed her.
Back at the training grounds, Jing Xin turned to look at him.
“Your time to shine. Go ahead.”
With a devious grin, Shi Ji cracked his knuckles and charged into the crowd.
Just as Shi Ji rushed in, Jing Xin suddenly realized something.
“Wait! Shi Ji!”
Ignoring her, Shi Ji dove into the crowd, throwing punches left and right.
Just like that student Shi Ji was hereby penalized with a deduction of two points for assaulting students from other classes and disrupting their practical combat lessons.
