    Chapter Index

Everyone found Shi Ji’s behavior bizarre, but they ignored it and rushed forward, surrounding him completely.

Initially, they were cautious. After all, Shi Ji had defeated Chi Yang and Ling Si. He must have some skill to accomplish that.

One of them, standing behind Shi Ji, threw a tentative punch. The punch struck Shi Ji’s lower back.

The blow was quite vicious. Hitting someone in the back was a bit much.

However, Shi Ji didn’t flinch, not even reacting. Facing this punch, his expression didn’t change, if anything, he looked disappointed.

“I say, put some effort into it. With just this much strength, do you expect to fight anomalies? That’s a sure way to get yourselves killed.”

These words infuriated everyone. They genuinely got angry and began swinging their fists, each one taking turns to strike Shi Ji.

    Bang! Bang! Bang!

The attacks varied in location—stomach, chest, shoulders, arms, lower back, upper back, even the neck, head, and face. Shi Ji’s entire body took the brunt of their fierce blows.

Ling Si didn’t join in. She stood aside, watching the spectacle. Her face lit up with a smile, already imagining Shi Ji’s battered appearance. The more she thought about it, the happier she felt, barely able to contain her laughter. She was convinced Shi Ji would be on his knees, begging for mercy.

The group continued their assault without pause. Because they were all packed together, kicking was impractical, so they resorted solely to punching.

Ling Si didn’t understand the current situation, but the dozen people surrounding Shi Ji certainly did. Initially, they felt thrilled. It was their first time encountering someone foolish enough not to fight back, and it was exhilarating. But as time went on, they noticed something strange.

Everyone’s expressions changed, their initial smiles gradually disappearing. They realized that no matter how hard they hit Shi Ji, his expression remained unchanged, showing no signs of pain. Not only did he not show any pain, but he also looked disdainful. Moreover, they noticed that despite their powerful blows, the areas they struck bore no marks. His body was covered by his clothes, but his head was exposed. There were no signs of swelling, bruising, or even a nosebleed.

Everyone got angrier and increased the force of their attacks.

After ten minutes, each person was exhausted from the relentless punching and backed off, gasping for breath. Ling Si, who had been watching from the side, finally saw what was happening.

Her initial fantasies didn’t come true. When she saw Shi Ji, her face fell. Her mouth hung open, unable to utter a word.

Who would have thought that after all this time being beaten, Shi Ji looked the same as he did at the start?

His expression hadn’t changed, except for a hint of disdain.

What happened was beyond Ling Si’s wildest imagination. To stay unscathed under such an onslaught—what kind of monster was he?

No, no. Ling Si dismissed her initial thought. This guy must be suppressing his pain. He was probably suffering internal injuries.

While Ling Si was still pondering, Shi Ji finally spoke, his tone filled with disdain.

“That’s it? Never mind. It didn’t hurt at all, but thanks anyway. I feel much better now. I’ve had enough, so I’ll be leaving. Goodbye.”

With that, Shi Ji turned to leave without another word.

Ling Si bit her lip, visibly upset. Her frustration was evident on her face, but others felt differently.

“Hey, you! Stop right there!” a boy shouted at the slowly departing Shi Ji.

    Shi Ji didn’t respond.

In a fit of rage, the boy rushed forward, jumped high, and kicked Shi Ji in the back.

Despite the force of the kick, Shi Ji remained standing, unperturbed.

The boy’s expression changed, and everyone around was shocked.

    “What?” The boy was stunned.

Unwilling to give up, he landed and swung his fist to attack again. But before his punch could land, Shi Ji moved even faster. He spun around and delivered a swift kick that sent the boy flying.

“Didn’t I tell you? This is a new outfit, don’t get it dirty.”
