Chapter 89: Kick After Kick
by tinytree“Fight over! Shi Ji wins!”
With the official’s declaration, Shi Ji easily secured the victory. His win came from a single kick that sent his opponent out of the arena.
Thus, a straightforward fight ended with Shi Ji’s kick. He did not even give his opponent a chance to catch his breath.
The arena fell silent, still reeling from the impact of Shi Ji’s kick.
Due to the series of shameless moves by the Class A student, the spectators already had a negative impression of him. When he was kicked out, few cared how Shi Ji managed it. The first person to cheer was soon followed by the entire crowd, erupting into applause and cheers.
Even the Class A student hadn’t fully grasped what happened. He only felt a heavy blow, a brief moment of weightlessness, and then he was out of the ring and defeated.
Everyone now laughed at him. The sound of their laughter made his face flush with embarrassment.
“Damn it! What the hell happened?”
This student was actually ranked quite high in the academy and did have skills but against Shi Ji. It wasn’t about his lack of skill but rather Shi Ji’s overwhelming strength, giving him no chance to display his own.
The student leaped up from the ground and, without thinking, rushed back into the arena.
He couldn’t accept this outcome. Something had to be off.
“You bastard! One more round!”
Shi Ji had experienced this reaction countless times. The surrounding cheers didn’t excite him, and his expression remained calm.
“Well, since you insist, I guess I can oblige,” he said, pretending to be reluctant, but in truth, he was quite eager for another round.
The fight between the two resumed, and the Class A student launched another attack. And then…
And then, with a single kick, the fight was over.
“Fight over! Shi Ji wins!”
Arena battles now seemed like child’s play. It ended just like that.
The arena erupted once again.
The big-busted girl who had initially been worried about Shi Ji now realized it was the opponent who should be concerned. With that, her anxiety finally eased.
The Class A student, thrown out of the arena, was genuinely stunned. If one instance was a fluke, what did two mean? Being kicked out twice in the same manner?
‘This guy… what on earth…’
His heart tightened as he suddenly recalled the events of yesterday. Shi Ji was the source of it all, pretending to be a teacher and lecturing in class, provoking the entire class.
He hadn’t participated in yesterday’s incident but had heard about it. Initially, he thought his classmates were joking, but after experiencing it firsthand today, he realized something was definitely off.
While he was still reeling from this realization, Shi Ji’s voice rang out.
“Come on, we haven’t fully warmed up yet. Let’s go again.”
In the end, the Class A student lost all three rounds, each defeat stemming from a single kick.
Shi Ji wanted to continue, but arena rules limited identical opponents to three matches per day. Given these constraints, he had to stop.
“Never underestimate anyone. Arrogant people like you should visit the Star Hero Academy. I’m sure you’d learn a lot there.”
Shi Ji left him with these parting words.
The Class A student said nothing. His previously arrogant demeanor had been completely shattered.
On the sidelines, Lin Xinyan watched everything unfold.
