Chapter 93: Weekend Plans
by tinytreeAfter class, Shi Ji remained seated in his spot, his expression somewhat vacant as he pondered over something.
The content delivered by the male instructor during the lesson left him deep in thought. It was an intriguing subject that deserved to be remembered.
The history of the Star Heroes was truly remarkable. As Shi Ji listened, he felt his emotions surge, as if he were present in that historical period. Among all the students in Class B, only Shi Ji seemed to feel that way.
Shi Ji felt both excited and disheartened. The powerful heroes ultimately met their demise.
Observing Shi Ji lost in thought, Xing Yuxiu watched him for quite a while.
Although Shi Ji was a new student, he had captured Xing Yuxiu’s attention, primarily because of his impressive abilities.
Knock! Knock! Seeing Shi Ji deep in thought, Xing Yuxiu knocked on the table.
“Let’s go!”
Shi Ji finally snapped out of it. He looked up at Xing Yuxiu. “Where to?”
Xing Yuxiu grinned. “Just wandering around.”
Today was Friday, and after the afternoon classes ended, the weekend break began.
While heading toward the activity area, Xing Yuxiu started outlining his weekend plans.
Although Xing Yuxiu’s mouth hardly stopped moving, Shi Ji didn’t listen to a word he said. He had his own plans for the next two days.
“Wow, so I’ve been talking all this time, and you haven’t been listening, have you?”
Xing Yuxiu finally noticed Shi Ji’s expression.
“Yep.” Shi Ji nodded, readily admitting it.
“…” Xing Yuxiu was speechless. “Shi Ji, what’s your plan for the weekend? Staying on campus or going out with me to unwind?”
Shi Ji didn’t intend to hide anything and said, “Oh, tomorrow I’m accompanying Xinyan to the Star Alliance. The day after, Shi Lin is treating me to a meal, so I don’t have any free time. Thanks for the offer, but you can go by yourself. Don’t worry about me.”
His straightforward response seemed reasonable, but after hearing it, Xing Yuxiu was stunned and even came to a stop.
Shi Ji found it odd and looked back at Xing Yuxiu.
“Hey, why’d you stop? You look like an idiot.”
Xing Yuxiu caught up to him and bumped into Shi Ji rather forcefully.
“You bastard, you’re the idiot. Hey, are you serious? Wow, Shi Lin is really treating you to a meal?”
“Oh, yes. She said I helped her yesterday, so it’s a thank you.”
From Shi Ji’s demeanor, it didn’t look like he was joking. Xing Yuxiu’s expression changed dramatically. He started grinning in a way that made Shi Ji uncomfortable and then said ingratiatingly, “Hehe! Shi Ji, can you take me along the day after tomorrow? Let’s go together. I’ll pay the bill.”
Shi Ji didn’t think much about Xing Yuxiu’s intentions. However, having a guy pay was definitely better than making the girl pay.
“Although it’s a bit presumptuous, Shi Lin should agree. I’ll have a hundred pounds of king crab.”
Xing Yuxiu was overjoyed.
“Deal!”
Despite his excitement, Xing Yuxiu didn’t immediately process what Shi Ji had said. But he wasn’t a fool and soon realized what was happening, then gave Shi Ji a shove.
“You bastard, get lost! You want to bankrupt me? And a hundred pounds of king crab? Are you dreaming? There’s no crab that big. Bastard.”
Shi Ji snorted, “Hmph! If you don’t want to come, forget it.”
He then walked away. Xing Yuxiu quickly chased after him, panicking.
“Hey, hey! Brother Shi Ji! Let’s talk this out. We can discuss it.”
