Chapter 212: Su Mengjia Calls

Just then, another thunderclap sounded outside the window, making Yuan Yu’s body tremble. A fearful expression appeared on her face.

Lin Xiao’s ears twitched, but he didn’t open his eyes or respond to Yuan Yu’s words. He had actually woken up when Yuan Yu opened the door, but decided it was better to pretend to be asleep.

Yuan Yu trembled again, covering her ears with her hands. She stopped hesitating and tiptoed to the bed. After carefully observing Lin Xiao for a moment to ensure he was still asleep, she cautiously climbed onto the bed and lay down close to him.

Once she lay next to Lin Xiao and felt the warmth from his body, Yuan Yu finally stopped trembling. She let out a long sigh, her soft body relaxed, and she quickly fell asleep.

While Yuan Yu soon drifted into sleep, Lin Xiao became the one with insomnia.

Yuan Yu was pressed too closely against him, their bodies too near.

Lin Xiao had a habit of sleeping straight on his back, never turning to the left or right. He lay with his body straight and his hands by his sides.

Without a word, she quickly climbed off Lin Xiao. She jumped out of bed without even putting on her slippers and ran out of the room, not forgetting to close the door behind her.

Watching Yuan Yu flee, Lin Xiao couldn’t help but smile.

After this disturbance, Lin Xiao found it impossible to fall back asleep. In reality, he hadn’t slept much at all.

So he got up and stretched, his joints cracking loudly.

To let Yuan Yu sleep peacefully, he hadn’t moved all night, and his muscles and joints had nearly stiffened. Now that he could finally move, the feeling of relief was indescribable.

For the next few hours, Yuan Yu avoided Lin Xiao, refusing to see him. She even took her breakfast into her bedroom to eat.
