Chapter 171: Li Yunxi
by tinytreeElder Chen let out a sigh of relief as Lin Xiao accepted the bank card, his smile deepening. He then gestured towards the two men beside him and introduced them to Lin Xiao, “Lin Xiao, allow me to introduce you. This is Zhou Chenguang, the headmaster of Wuxu Martial Arts Hall, and this is Yang Yuanji, the headmaster of Xuantian Martial Arts Hall.”
Having been around for a while, Lin Xiao was somewhat familiar with the identities of Zhou Chenguang and Yang Yuanji. However, given that Elder Chen was formally introducing them, he showed due respect and greeted them with a bow.
“Headmaster Zhou, Headmaster Yang, a pleasure to meet you.”
“The pleasure is ours, Master Lin. You’re too kind,” Zhou Chenguang and Yang Yuanji quickly returned the bow.
Elder Chen could address Lin Xiao by his name directly, but they couldn’t afford such familiarity.
The strength demonstrated by Lin Xiao was far above theirs. In the ancient martial arts world, martial strength was revered. Even if Lin Xiao was much younger than them, they dared not neglect him.
In fact, if not for their acquaintance with Elder Chen, it would have been completely normal for them to address Lin Xiao as a senior.
“Master Lin, you’ve truly made a name for yourself today. I suspect it won’t be long before your fame spreads throughout the entire Jiangnan Province’s martial arts community. Should you find the opportunity, please honor us with a visit and give us some guidance,” Zhou Chenguang extended the invitation with great humility.
“Of course, I’ll make sure to visit if I have the chance,” Lin Xiao responded calmly.
He held little interest in these social engagements. After engaging in conversation for over half an hour, he bid farewell to Elder Chen.
Elder Chen tried to persuade him to stay a while longer, but seeing Lin Xiao’s determination, he asked Chen Lingxin to see him to the door.
As Lin Xiao and Chen Lingxin walked side by side through the martial arts school, every student they passed showed them nothing but reverence, bowing respectfully and greeting, “Hello, Master Lin!”
Besides the students, there were no others left in Chen’s Martial Arts Hall. The guests who had come for the exchange had already left after the competition ended.
Yet, the events of today were bound to spread far and wide across Jiangnan Province’s ancient martial arts community.
“Master, can I have your phone number?” Chen Lingxin, having escorted Lin Xiao to the door, suddenly remembered something and grabbed him as he was about to leave, “And, don’t forget our agreement, or I won’t let you off!”
With those words, Chen Lingxin playfully brandished her fist, her face breaking into a beaming smile.
“Don’t worry, I won’t forget,” Lin Xiao assured with a smile, taking out his phone to exchange numbers with Chen Lingxin.
Waving goodbye, he then turned to leave.
Chen Lingxin remained at the doorway, her gaze following Lin Xiao as he walked further away until he completely vanished from view. Only then did she re-enter the gates of Chen’s Martial Arts Hall.
After leaving the martial arts school, Lin Xiao headed back to Yuan Yu’s place. Soon enough, he found himself on a bus back to her neighborhood.
However, upon entering the complex, he was greeted by the sight of a red Ferrari parked at the entrance.
This Ferrari looked familiar to Lin Xiao. A brief moment of reflection brought back the memory of why it felt so familiar. This car unmistakably belonged to Li Yunxi.
She had arrived at the Panlong Mountain race scene in this very Ferrari.
“Could it really be her?”
A flicker of amusement crossed Lin Xiao’s face, but he continued on his way without pausing. Before long, a striking figure dashed towards him, bringing with her a fragrant breeze.
“Lin Xiao, I’ve finally caught you!”
“Miss Li, it’s been a while,” Lin Xiao sighed upon recognizing the figure before him.
He wasn’t sure why he sighed.
The woman had long hair cascading over her shoulders and features as delicate as a painting—a rare beauty. Her arched brows and deep, expressive eyes made her truly one in a million.
Unfortunately, the unlit cigarette dangling from her lips gave her an air of nonchalance, a stark contrast to her elegance.
It was none other than Miss Li Yunxi herself.
She was dressed provocatively, in a white short-sleeved shirt with the collar slightly undone, paired with black leather pants that clung to her long, slender legs.
Li Yunxi’s approach drew the eyes of everyone in the neighborhood.
Yongnan District was originally the most backward place in Jinghai City, and the neighborhood where Yuan Yu lived was even more remote in Yongnan District. They had never seen such an attractive beauty, especially one who drove a Ferrari.
A luxury car and a beautiful woman, it was the ultimate fantasy of every man.
The neighborhood men were fixated on Li Yunxi, visibly swallowing their saliva. One of them, so engrossed in staring at Li Yunxi, neglected to watch where he was going. He walked into head-on with a utility pole head-on and fell to the ground with a painful cry.
Li Yunxi, accustomed to such gazes, paid them no mind, focusing solely on Lin Xiao.
She removed the cigarette from her lips, grabbed Lin Xiao by the neck, and scolded, “You have the nerve to say long time no see? Do you have any idea how hard I’ve been looking for you?”
The act of grabbing someone by the neck is intimate even among men, let alone coming from a woman. Perhaps she didn’t see anything amiss with her actions, but onlookers were visibly shocked, viewing Lin Xiao with a mix of jealousy and envy.
Even Lin Xiao himself was slightly uncomfortable.
With Li Yunxi’s move, his head was involuntarily lowered, his gaze directly above her abdomen. He could smell the enticing fragrance emanating from her.
Lin Xiao made an effort not to stare at Li Yunxi, trying to release her grip.
“Miss Li, let’s talk this out, no need to get physical. Why are you looking for me?”
Far from letting go, Li Yunxi tightened her grip, as if to underscore her displeasure.
“You dare disappear without a word. It’s so infuriating, and you have the nerve to ask why I’m looking for you? No, I have to give you a proper lesson.”
With that, she leaped onto Lin Xiao’s back, wrapping her arms firmly around his neck.
Lin Xiao’s heart raced, feeling the full weight of Li Yunxi’s body pressing against him, drawing a sharp breath. Though Lin Xiao was steadfast, he was not an eunuch.
After a moment, he managed to regain composure and said, “Get down.”
“I will not!” Li Yunxi said, clinging to Lin Xiao like a koala, “I’ve spent days searching for you, I’ve practically turned Jinghai City inside out to find you. Think I’ll just let go? No chance!”
