Chapter 315: Sinister Intentions
by tinytree“Yes, Huang Xinyu checked into our hotel not long ago, and she’s alone,” the portly man said, carefully observing the other’s expression. He hesitated before adding, “Chairman, should I ask her to leave?”
“Old Pan, that’s not the right way to think about it. No matter what grudges I have with Huang Xinyu, she’s a guest as long as she’s staying in our hotel. We should treat our guests with courtesy.”
Fang Tianping waved his hand dismissively, feigning magnanimity. But his true colors showed immediately with his next words.
“Zhou Jun, Li Jie, tell me, do you think I have a chance to take her down directly?”
The three men present were all Fang Tianping’s trusted confidants, so he spoke without the slightest reservation, the malice in his tone laid bare. Ever since he’d witnessed Huang Xinyu’s close relationship with Lin Xiao, Fang Tianping had harbored a deep resentment toward her.
Yet, his desire for Huang Xinyu had only intensified.
As the saying goes, the more unattainable, the more desirable. Fang Tianping had already made up his mind—he would stop at nothing to conquer this wealthy, beautiful woman he had coveted for so long, reducing her to his plaything.
Thus, rather than giving up his harassment of Huang Xinyu, Fang Tianping had only grown more aggressive, bothering her multiple times a day. Little did he realize that his actions only fueled her disdain.
Upon hearing that Huang Xinyu had come to Linjin City and was staying at Aerospace Hotel, Fang Tianping was both shocked and delighted, secretly thinking, ‘Heaven is truly helping me.’
However, being a man of deep scheming, Fang Tianping didn’t rush to confront Huang Xinyu. Instead, he summoned his confidants to discuss the next steps.
“Boss, there’s nothing more to say; this is a golden opportunity. We can’t let it slip by.”
The man who spoke was Zhou Jun, ugly in appearance but sharp-tongued. His words hit Fang Tianping’s heart perfectly. “I bet Huang Xinyu has no idea this hotel belongs to you, let alone that you’re here yourself. If we miss such a perfect chance, we’ll surely be struck by lightning.”
Fang Tianping nodded repeatedly. “You’re right. I was thinking the same thing.”
“Boss, I think it’s better not to act recklessly,” advised Li Jie, another confidant. “No matter what, Huang Xinyu is a prominent entrepreneur from Jinghai City with considerable influence. If we resort to force, the consequences could be severe.”
“What consequences? Do you think she’d dare to spread it around? If she does, what will happen to her reputation? How will she save face?” Zhou Jun scoffed at Li Jie’s concerns. “You’re always so timid. That’s why you never get anything done. Besides, if she really dares to publicize it, Boss can just turn the tables, claim she seduced him. It’d just be a matter of slinging mud at each other, let’s see who wins.”
Fang Tianping was swayed by Zhou Jun’s words. He took a few deep puffs of his cigar before stubbing it out in the ashtray.
Wrapping an arm around his pretty secretary, he groped her a few times and growled, “Old Pan, I’ve made up my mind. Get me her room number. Tonight, she’ll learn what I’m truly capable of.”

A red Ferrari sped down the road and came to a smooth stop at the entrance of the Aerospace Hotel.
The car door swung open, and a man and a woman stepped out. It was Lin Xiao and Huang Xinyu.
Lin Xiao had changed into a fresh set of casual clothes. His previous outfit had been damaged during the fight with the Golden Claw Sect members, and Huang Xinyu had simply tossed it out.
Now clad in new attire, Lin Xiao appeared tall and lean, his demeanor calm and composed. Even standing next to someone as stunning as Huang Xinyu, he held his own, the two looking perfectly matched.
Huang Xinyu handed the car keys to the valet, then took Lin Xiao’s arm and walked straight into the hotel.
Aerospace Hotel was a four-star establishment, its interior lavishly decorated. A massive crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, while the polished marble floor gleamed like a mirror, reflecting the figures of passersby.
As Lin Xiao and Huang Xinyu entered the lobby, they immediately drew everyone’s attention.
Most gazes settled on Huang Xinyu. It couldn’t be helped—her beauty and elegance were simply unmatched.
A few, however, glanced curiously at Lin Xiao’s bandaged hands, wondering why a young man like him would be so injured.
Being a well-known entrepreneur, Huang Xinyu was long accustomed to the attention. She wore a gentle yet aloof smile—warm enough to avoid seeming cold, but distant enough to discourage approach.
“Lin Xiao, guess why I chose this hotel?” Huang Xinyu asked softly, her lips close to Lin Xiao’s ear as she leaned into his arm.
“Why?” Lin Xiao raised an eyebrow.
“I told you to guess.”
“Could it be because this hotel belongs to Fang Tianping?” Lin Xiao replied casually.
Huang Xinyu shot him a surprised glance, clearly impressed by his sharp intuition.
“Looks like I guessed right.” Lin Xiao read the answer from her expression. “Auntie Xin, if you’re planning to deal with Fang Tianping, why choose his hotel?”
“You’ll find out soon enough. After dinner, I’ll take you to meet some people.” A glimmer of light flashed through Huang Xinyu’s eyes, though her smile remained unchanged. “Don’t rush back tonight. Stay and keep me company, alright?”
“Alright.”
Just then, a hotel staff member approached—a young woman in a black professional suit, her features delicate and pleasant. She walked briskly up to them and spoke respectfully.
“Ms. Huang, the private room you reserved is ready.”
“Thank you for the trouble.” Huang Xinyu nodded with a smile.
The waitress looked flattered. “You’re too kind. This is my job. Please, this way.”
Following the waitress, Lin Xiao and Huang Xinyu entered the private dining room together.
In the center of the room stood a large round table, already laden with an assortment of dishes. After sitting down, Huang Xinyu waved Lin Xiao over. “Lin Xiao, sit here.”
Lin Xiao walked over and sat beside her. Glancing down at his bandaged hands, then at the chopsticks on the table, he hesitated.
His hands had been wrapped tightly at the private hospital that Huang Xinyu took him to. Forget picking up food—he could barely hold the chopsticks properly.
“Auntie Xin, my hands are fine. It’s just superficial wounds. Should I just take off the bandages?” Lin Xiao tried a few times, but his once-agile fingers refused to cooperate. Helpless, he turned to Huang Xinyu.
“No need, I’ll feed you.”
Seeing Lin Xiao’s clumsy attempts, Huang Xinyu couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Her bright eyes curved like crescent moons, and the dimples on her cheeks deepened, making her smile exceptionally sweet and captivating.
“Now you know how inconvenient it is, huh? Let’s see if you’ll still be so quick to throw punches next time.”
