    Chapter Index

Through the dim light from the window, the three men saw a figure lying on the bed, seemingly fast asleep. Though covered by a blanket, the exquisite curves beneath were unmistakable.

Fang Tianping’s heart settled completely. He nodded to Zhou Jun and Li Jie, who immediately took their positions—one guarding the window, the other at the bedroom door, ensuring Huang Xinyu had no chance to escape.

Seeing Huang Xinyu finally within his grasp, Fang Tianping could no longer contain himself. He burst into triumphant laughter. “Hahaha! Huang Xinyu, I bet you never imagined you’d end up like this!”

His laughter startled the person on the bed awake. The blanket lifted slightly, revealing Huang Xinyu’s beautiful face. She clutched the covers tightly around herself, her expression filled with anger and fear.

“Fang Tianping, what do you think you’re doing?”

“Heh, what do you think I’m doing?”

Fang Tianping’s eyes gleamed like a starving wolf. “You brought this on yourself. I courted you so many times, but you treated me with nothing but disdain and even found another man to humiliate me! Tonight, I’ll repay that humiliation tenfold.”

Turning to Zhou Jun and Li Jie, he barked, “Is the camera rolling? Is the camera ready? Hahaha!”

“Don’t worry, Boss! Everything’s set!” Zhou Jun grinned, his eyes wandering lewdly over Huang Xinyu’s face.

    “Xinyu, here I come!”

Fang Tianping spread his arms wide and lunged toward the bed.

But as he pounced, the fury on Huang Xinyu’s face vanished, replaced by an icy smile—like a hunter watching prey step into a trap.

Fang Tianping’s heart skipped a beat. A sense of dread washed over him.

Before he could react, a leg shot out from beneath the blanket, slamming into his abdomen with brutal force.

Fang Tianping flew several meters backward, crashing into the wall before sliding down to the floor. His face contorted in agony, eyes bulging as he clutched his stomach, writhing silently. He couldn’t even scream—just gasped desperately for air.

That single kick had nearly ruptured his intestines.

Fang Tianping had never imagined there would be someone else in the suite besides Huang Xinyu.

Zhou Jun, standing by the window, and Li Jie, guarding the door, were both stunned by the sudden turn of events. Their eyes darted between the writhing Fang Tianping and the tall figure now standing beside the bed, their minds blank with shock.

“Sister Xin, did you record their break-in?” Lin Xiao asked as he stepped down from the bed.

“Don’t worry. Everything’s under control.” Huang Xinyu climbed out of bed and stood beside Lin Xiao, casting a look of utter disgust at Fang Tianping.

Only then did Zhou Jun and Li Jie snap out of their daze. They dropped the camera and camcorder, rushed over, and hauled Fang Tianping to his feet.

Gritting his teeth against the searing pain, Fang Tianping’s face twisted as his gaze locked onto Lin Xiao. Recognition flashed in his eyes, and he snarled, “So it was you!”

Zhou Jun and Li Jie recognized Lin Xiao as well. Exchanging a glance, Zhou Jun pulled a dagger from his coat, while Li Jie drew a pistol.

“It was because of you last time that we failed,” Zhou Jun growled. “And now you dare ruin the boss’s plans again? You’re dead meat.”

Unlike Zhou Jun, Li Jie was more calculating. Having witnessed Lin Xiao’s strength from that single kick, he didn’t hesitate. He aimed the pistol straight at Lin Xiao’s head, finger poised on the trigger.

“Good. Very good!” Fang Tianping gasped for breath, his bloodshot eyes glinting with venom. “Last time, you slipped through my fingers. But now you’ve delivered yourself right to me. After I kill you, I’ll make sure this bitch learns her lesson.”

    Lin Xiao merely chuckled.

“What the hell are you laughing at?!”

“I’m laughing because you’re on the brink of death, yet you still have the gall to bark.” The smile vanished from Lin Xiao’s face, replaced by an icy glare. “I’ve seen countless scumbags like you. Do you know what fate awaits them in the end?”

The three men shivered involuntarily as a chill crept up their spines.

“What are you waiting for?! Shoot him!” Fang Tianping roared at Li Jie.

Li Jie gritted his teeth and squeezed the trigger.

The gunshot echoed through the room. But the bullet missed its mark, because Lin Xiao was no longer standing there.

Before Li Jie could comprehend what had happened, Lin Xiao appeared right in front of him.

Panicking, Li Jie stumbled backward and tried to fire again, but a sharp pain shot through his wrist. In an instant, Lin Xiao had snatched the gun away.

From the moment the shot was fired to the moment the gun was taken, not even two seconds had passed. It was so fast that Li Jie couldn’t react.

Lin Xiao’s bandaged hand clenched the pistol and crushed it into a mangled heap of metal.

Without hesitation, he grabbed Li Jie’s head and slammed it against the wall.

The dull thud reverberated through the room. Li Jie collapsed, unconscious.

There was no doubt—Lin Xiao had held back. With full force, that strike would have left Li Jie with a shattered skull.

On the other side, Zhou Jun finally snapped out of it. Roaring in fury, he charged, dagger aimed viciously at Lin Xiao’s waist.

Lin Xiao didn’t even blink. He casually reached out with two fingers and pinched the flashing blade mid-thrust.

The dagger stopped dead, not moving an inch.

“You bastard! Think I’m that easy to mess with?!” Zhou Jun’s eyes gleamed with desperation as he gripped the dagger with both hands and shoved forward, aiming to skewer Lin Xiao through the gut.

    But the blade didn’t budge.

    “Impossible!”

Zhou Jun’s face twisted in disbelief. He pushed harder, pouring every ounce of strength into the attack. He even leaned his entire body weight onto the blade. Yet no matter how hard he tried, the dagger remained locked between Lin Xiao’s fingers, as though welded in place.

“Trash should know its place,” Lin Xiao said coldly. “If you’d stayed down, I might’ve spared you some pain.”

    His fingers tightened.

The dagger snapped cleanly in two.

Two fingers. That was all it took to break solid steel.

A flicker of murderous intent flashed in Lin Xiao’s eyes. He grabbed Zhou Jun’s arm and twisted without hesitation.

The sickening sound of bones snapping echoed through the room. Zhou Jun screamed in agony, staggering backward in a futile attempt to escape. But before he could take a second step, Lin Xiao caught his other arm.

Another bone shattered. Another scream tore through the air.

In the blink of an eye, Zhou Jun’s arms had been completely twisted out of shape—mangled beyond recognition, with not a single bone intact.
