Lin Xiao remained focused on driving. “I’m on the road. Why don’t you tell me what this is about first?”

“I’ll tell you when we meet. What, are you afraid I’ll sell you off?” Li Yunxi teased. “No matter where you are, just get back to Maple Leaf Street. I’ll be waiting at your apartment complex’s entrance. If you dare stand me up, I’ll never talk to you again.”

With that, she hung up.

Lin Xiao let out a deep sigh.

Dealing with Miss Li’s fiery personality was truly exhausting.

“Ten minutes is a long time?”

Knowing how impatient Li Yunxi was, he had been speeding the whole way, just to make sure she didn’t throw a fit.

And yet, she was still complaining.

Li Yunxi raised her chin arrogantly. “What kind of attitude is that? Ten minutes is 600 seconds. That’s a long time, okay? Besides, it’s always others waiting for me. I’ve never had to wait for anyone. I made an exception for you today, so you should be grateful.”

Lin Xiao was speechless. He spread his hands and said, “Fine.”

Li Yunxi smirked triumphantly.

Though she had the face of a goddess, her swagger was more like that of a gang boss. She patted Lin Xiao’s shoulder and said,

“Good, good. You’ve got potential. This lady approves.”

Lin Xiao chuckled dryly. “Alright, I’m here now. Can you tell me what this is about?”

Li Yunxi grabbed his arm and pouted. “Hey! I went through all this trouble to set this up for you. How can you just walk away?”

Then, as if remembering something, she added seriously,
