“You… what are you trying to do?”

Gu Shaojun instinctively shrank back, hiding behind Uncle Long while pointing at Lin Xiao and shouting.

He had boasted that he wasn’t afraid, but his body language betrayed his true thoughts.

The burly man also leaned forward, raising his arms into a defensive stance, as if facing a formidable enemy.

“This entire situation started because of you. Now, you have two choices.”

Lin Xiao gazed calmly at Gu Shaojun, who was cowering behind Uncle Long. His eyes were emotionless—neither murderous nor angry—yet Gu Shaojun felt an immense pressure pressing down on him.

“First option, you apologize to my companion and ask for her forgiveness. Second option, I’ll beat you until you apologize. Your choice.”

“Apologize? You want me to apologize to that woman?” Gu Shaojun reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, leaping three feet into the air. “That woman slapped me. I haven’t even settled that score yet, and you think I’m going to apologize? Dream on!”

“So, you’re choosing the second option.” Lin Xiao’s gaze turned cold.

“Haha! Beat me into apologizing? I’m not choosing either option.” Gu Shaojun took a few steps back, his expression twisted with rage. “Uncle Long, you’re my bodyguard. My dad sent you to protect me. This guy wants to hit me. Why aren’t you taking him down yet?”

Uncle Long took a deep breath and looked at Lin Xiao, speaking in a low voice, “Young man, I advise you to quit while you’re ahead. Don’t push your luck. How about we both take a step back and end this here?”

“You’re not qualified to negotiate with me.” Lin Xiao’s voice was indifferent.

Hearing this, Uncle Long’s eyes turned icy. He had been wary of Lin Xiao and had no intention of fighting him, but now that Lin Xiao outright disregarded him, his anger flared.

“Kid, just because you have some skill, don’t think you can be arrogant.” Uncle Long flexed his arms, causing his bones to crackle loudly. His already large frame seemed to expand even more, exuding a dangerous aura. “I didn’t want to fight you, but you’ve left me no choice. Since you don’t respect me, I’ll show you why you should.”

With a thunderous shout, Uncle Long launched a punch straight at Lin Xiao’s chest.

The punch was powerful and incredibly fast, landing on Lin Xiao’s chest in the blink of an eye.

A look of satisfaction flashed in Uncle Long’s eyes, and a smirk appeared at the corners of his lips.

This punch carried all of his strength. It was enough to shatter a slab of stone—there was no way this kid could take it head-on without consequences.

However, just as Uncle Long thought he had secured victory, an intense pain shot through his knuckles.

It didn’t feel like he had punched a human body. It felt like hitting solid steel. The resulting shock force caused his wrist to go numb, and his entire body trembled.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiao, who had taken the full force of the blow, remained standing in place, completely unfazed, as steady as a mountain.

    “Impossible!”

Uncle Long’s eyes widened in disbelief. It felt like an invisible hand was gripping his heart, squeezing tightly. He instinctively tried to withdraw his fist.

But before he could fully retract his hand, Lin Xiao reached out and caught his wrist.

“You’ve got some strength, but still far from enough.”

Lin Xiao casually assessed him, then effortlessly swung Uncle Long’s arm to the side.

Uncle Long’s massive, nearly 200-pound body was hurled through the air with a single hand. He had no chance to resist and was flung seven or eight meters away, crashing to the ground with a heavy thud.

After landing, Uncle Long rolled several times before he could stop himself. His face was filled with shock and terror. He opened his mouth, but no words came out.

    Hiss!

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd. Everyone watching was stunned as they stared at Lin Xiao in awe.

    “What insane strength!”

“Is he even human? He threw a grown man seven or eight meters with one hand—how strong must he be?”

“This is what they call a martial arts master? I’ve never seen anything like it before!”

“No wonder he wasn’t intimidated. Compared to him, those guys were nothing.”

The bystanders chattered amongst themselves, eyes filled with excitement.

Since no one had died, no one felt the need to call the police. They were content to simply enjoy the spectacle.

While the onlookers were amazed, Gu Shaojun was overwhelmed with fear.

Seeing his highly-skilled bodyguard defeated so easily, he realized he had picked the wrong fight. His eyes darted around as he quickly searched for an escape route. Seizing the moment while Lin Xiao’s attention was elsewhere, he suddenly turned and bolted.

But he hadn’t even run a few steps before Lin Xiao caught up to him and delivered a kick to his back.

Gu Shaojun was sent flying forward, crashing face-first into the pavement in an embarrassing sprawl.

Laughter erupted from the crowd as people pointed at him and whispered.

Gu Shaojun’s face burned, though he wasn’t sure if it was from pain or humiliation—or both.

Scrambling to his feet in a panic, he took several steps back, terrified that Lin Xiao would strike again. In a desperate attempt to regain control, he shouted, “Do you even know who my dad is?! If you dare touch me, he won’t let you off!”

“I don’t know who your dad is, and I’m not interested. But I do know that you have a problem right now.”

Lin Xiao glanced at Gu Shaojun, unimpressed. To him, people like Gu Shaojun—useless rich kids who relied on their family’s influence—weren’t even worth dirtying his hands over.

“Yunxi, I’ll leave the rest to you.”

Li Yunxi stepped out from behind Lin Xiao, her gaze playful and full of mischief. “Leave it to me. I’ll make sure he learns his lesson.”

“My dad is Gu Mingtang! If you’re from Jinghai City, you should’ve heard his name!”

Realizing that Lin Xiao wasn’t going to touch him, Gu Shaojun’s confidence returned slightly. He lifted his chin and sneered, “There’s nothing my dad can’t do in Jinghai! I advise you to let me go now, or you’ll regret it!”

“So you’re Gu Mingtang’s useless son?” Li Yunxi circled Gu Shaojun, her delicate fingers tapping her chin as she examined him. “Didn’t he send you abroad when you were little? When did you come back?”

    Gu Shaojun’s face changed drastically.

He hadn’t expected Li Yunxi to know his background so well.

“Who are you? Do you know me? How do you know my dad sent me overseas?”

“Who am I? My name is Li Yunxi. Take a guess.”

She smirked, tilting her head slightly as she stared at him with a playful yet authoritative expression.

“You really think you can act tough in front of me? Brag about your family?”

    “You… You’re Li Yunxi?!”

Gu Shaojun’s expression shifted from arrogance to horror.

He had obviously heard of her before. And he was well aware of her reputation.

His voice trembled. Even his legs began to shake.
