Chapter 429: It’s All Your Fault
by tinytreeOutside the basketball court.
Yuan Yu and Huang Caixing stood side by side beneath a large tree, gazing towards Lin Xiao.
The tree was thick enough for two people to wrap their arms around it, lush and flourishing, its dense leaves shielding the two girls from the blazing sun. A gentle breeze blew, making it pleasantly cool.
When Lin Xiao was surrounded by a group of bodyguards, Yuan Yu frowned slightly, a look of worry appearing on her delicate face.
“Caixing, do you think Big Brother Lin will be in danger?”
Huang Caixing was actually worried too, but her tone was full of confidence as she said, “YuYu, we have to trust Big Brother Lin. Just those guys? They’re no match for him at all.”
She took out her phone, preparing to call Huang Xinyu.
Just then, the bodyguards in the distance suddenly dispersed, and Lin Xiao emerged from the crowd, striding toward them.
“See? I told you, Big Brother Lin is fine.”
Huang Caixing put away her phone, grabbed Yuan Yu’s hand, and ran toward Lin Xiao. “You’re too timid. Don’t worry needlessly next time. Big Brother Lin is amazing!”
Huang Caixing pulled Yuan Yu along, pursed her rosy lips, and didn’t say anything.
The two girls quickly reached Lin Xiao. Huang Caixing hugged his arm with a grin. “Big Brother Lin, did you give that Fu Chengguang guy a good lesson?”
“You really don’t like him, huh?” Lin Xiao asked calmly.
“Of course! That guy’s a good-for-nothing. He’s always idling around, relying on his dad, treating the school like his personal playground. He changes girlfriends as often as changing clothes, and those girls still flock to him.”
Huang Caixing pouted, looking extremely disdainful. “He even tried to hit on me once. I gave him a solid beating, and he never dared bother me again.”
As she spoke, her face lit up. She was clearly proud of how she’d handled Fu Chengguang.
Lin Xiao looked at her speechlessly. He didn’t expect that this obedient, sensible girl in front of him could be so domineering at school.
“If nothing unexpected happens, Fu Chengguang won’t appear in front of you again.”
Lin Xiao glanced at Fu Feifeng and the others in the distance. His gaze was sharp, and even from dozens of meters away, he could see Fu Feifeng’s solemn expression and Fu Chengguang’s terrified eyes.
“Weren’t you going to compete in long jump and running? Haven’t they started yet?” he said.
“Ah?”
Reminded by Lin Xiao, Huang Caixing and Yuan Yu suddenly remembered the sports day and exchanged glances in panic.
“Big Brother Lin, it’s all your fault!” Huang Caixing stomped her foot and pouted. “Why didn’t you remind us earlier? It probably already started. I trained so hard for today.”
“What does that have to do with Big Brother Lin? You forgot on your own.”
Yuan Yu shot her a look, grabbed Lin Xiao’s hand, and hurried toward the field. “Let’s go quickly. We should still make it in time.”

Over an hour later, at the gate of Guanglai High School.
“Aiya, I’m so tired.”
Huang Caixing was half-draped over Lin Xiao’s arm, dragging her legs as she walked weakly.
“Big Brother Lin, carry me, will you? I can’t walk anymore.”
On the other side, Huang Xinyu scolded her in frustration. “Caixing, it was just 800 meters. How tired can you be? And you finished dead last. Look at Little Yu. She won first place in the long jump and didn’t complain once. She’s way better than you.”
Yuan Yu was walking beside Lin Xiao on the left. Hearing that, she gave an embarrassed smile.
“Auntie, don’t say that. Running is more tiring than jumping. Caixing already did her best.”
Because she had just exercised, Yuan Yu’s cheeks were slightly flushed. Her smooth forehead was covered with beads of sweat, and the collar of her sportswear was open, revealing the snow-white, glistening skin of her chest.
Huang Caixing was even bolder than Yuan Yu. She had taken off her tracksuit and was only wearing a white cotton T-shirt.
Her arms were pale and smooth, her slender waist barely a handful. Her ample chest pressed tightly against Lin Xiao’s arm, bouncing and squeezing with every step.
“Hmph, you think I wanted to come in last? I blame you.” Huang Caixing looked down at her chest, then shot a glare at Huang Xinyu. “Easy for you to talk. Why don’t you try running 800 meters? It’d kill you!”
“Blame me?” Huang Xinyu suddenly stopped, placed her hands on her hips, and questioned her, “Caixing, how is your failure my fault?”
“How not? It’s your fault your chest is so big.”
Suddenly, Huang Caixing reached out and grabbed Huang Xinyu’s full chest.
Startled, Huang Xinyu jumped back, instinctively hugging her chest. Her jade-like face turned bright red.
“You little brat, what are you doing?”
Huang Xinyu’s eyes blazed with fury. She was both angry and embarrassed, especially in front of Lin Xiao, making her feel even more awkward.
“Comrade Xinyu, don’t you know? Sometimes a chest that’s too big really gets in the way when running,” Huang Caixing said with a serious tone. “I’m your daughter, and I inherited your genes. If your chest were smaller, maybe I wouldn’t have been so tired.”
Huang Xinyu was so angry that she laughed. She moved her arms, looking ready to hit someone.
“So you’re saying flat chests are better, huh?”
“I didn’t say that.” Huang Caixing ducked behind Lin Xiao, peeking out with just half her head, her bright eyes blinking innocently. “You’re not gonna hit me, are you?”
“Correct guess.” Huang Xinyu gritted her teeth, rolling up her sleeves. “Caixing, you’re getting more out of control by the day. Three days without a beating and you climb the roof. You think just because Xiao Xiao is here, I won’t dare do anything?”
“Big Brother Lin, Comrade Huang Xinyu wants to hit me!” Huang Caixing clung to Lin Xiao’s arm and acted spoiled. “She doesn’t respect you at all. You have to stand up for me.”
Lin Xiao’s mouth twitched. Without expression, he pulled his arm away and flicked Huang Caixing on the forehead with his finger.
“If you ask me, you deserve the beating. Was that any way to speak to Auntie Xinyu?”
Yuan Yu and Huang Xinyu both nodded in agreement.
Huang Xinyu gloated, “Caixing, now you know what it means to suffer from your own actions? Even Xiao Xiao won’t help you now. Come on, be good and accept your punishment.”
“I refuse!”
Huang Caixing wrapped both arms around Lin Xiao’s waist, pressing her chest against his back like glue. “You were the one who mocked me first. So what if I came last? At least I finished the race. If I hadn’t inherited your genes, maybe I’d have come in first.”
Huang Xinyu rolled her eyes, walked up behind her, and smacked her on the butt.
“You little brat, always talking nonsense. This was just a minor punishment. Next time you don’t behave, I’ll have Lin Xiao deal with you.”
