“Third Sister, we’re not interested in anything else our third brother left behind. We only want that three percent stake in Briliant Pharmaceuticals.”

The girl walked up to Wan Caixuan, unfolding the documents in front of her. “As long as you transfer your shares of Brilliant Pharmaceuticals to us, we’ll transfer our shares of Brilliant Aya Limited to you. How about that?”

The handsome young man added, “Third Sister, you’re the CEO of Brilliant Aya, holding thirty percent of the shares, while Fourth Sister and I each hold fifteen percent. Combined, our shares already exceed yours. I think you understand what that means, don’t you?”

Sitting beside Wan Caixuan, Ning Xi’s expression changed slightly. Her delicate hand tugged gently at Wan Caixuan’s sleeve under the conference table, giving her a meaningful look.

“So if I don’t agree to your conditions, the two of you are going to join forces to kick me out of the CEO position at Brilliant Aya Limited?” Wan Caixuan’s expression remained cold and composed, unmoved. “You’ve gotten clever. Learned how to use schemes now.”

“Well, you and Second Brother are so capable. Fourth Brother and I are too weak. If we don’t join forces, we’d be eaten alive, bones and all.” The girl put on a pitiful look. “Third Sister, just agree, okay? Think of it as a gift to your younger siblings. It’s not like you’re losing anything.”

“Hmph, what a well-calculated plan. Unfortunately, I’m neither stupid nor naive.” Wan Caixuan said expressionlessly. “How about this, I’ll offer thirty percent of Brilliant Aya Limited’s shares, plus all the assets under Wan Shixuan, in exchange for your shares in Brilliant Pharmaceuticals. What do you say?”

Though both Brilliant Aya Limited and Brilliant Pharmaceuticals were under the Wan family’s umbrella, they were leagues apart in value.

Brilliant Aya was a comprehensive cosmetics company. Though considered a major player in its industry, it was nothing compared to Brilliant Pharmaceuticals—a core asset of the Wan family, valued in the trillions. The two weren’t even in the same league.

Forget trading thirty percent of Brilliant Aya for three percent of Brilliant Pharmaceuticals—even the entire Brilliant Aya Limited wasn’t worth that much.

“See, Little Sister? I told you negotiating with Third Sister wouldn’t work, but you insisted on trying.” The handsome youth spread his hands. “Let’s just proceed with the original plan.”

“Sigh… Sister, I really didn’t want to make enemies with you. After all, I’ve admired and looked up to you since we were kids.” The girl sighed, but a cold glint flashed in her beautiful eyes. “But since we’ve entered the succession battle, I can’t just give up. I have to fight. Don’t you agree?”

With that, she snapped her fingers.

The conference room doors opened again, revealing a corridor full of burly men in black suits. Among them were several young women.

The delicate-featured, cold-eyed girl from earlier walked into the room and stood to the side.

“Third Sister, I’ll say it one last time. I hope you’ll sign these documents. If you do, we’ll leave immediately and apologize to you,” the handsome youth said sincerely. “Otherwise, we’ll have to use other means.”

“Fine. But I want to read through the documents carefully.” Wan Caixuan’s eyes flickered slightly. “If there’s no issue, I may just sign.”

The young man and girl’s eyes lit up simultaneously.

The girl covered her mouth and giggled sweetly. “That’s more like it, Sister. If you’re willing to cooperate, my brother and I won’t have to cause a scene.”

“Take your time, Third Sister. No rush. We’ve got all the time in the world, and no one’s going to disturb us.” The young man smiled confidently. “This building has already been sealed off by our people. Not even a fly could get in.”

At the entrance of the building, several burly men in black suits and sunglasses stood guard. All Brilliant Aya Limited employees were blocked outside, frustrated and helpless.

These men were all muscular, exuding a fierce, battle-hardened aura. Their sunglasses couldn’t hide the air of elite warriors about them.

Just then, a silver-black Cayenne roared in from the distance and came to a steady stop in the plaza out front, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The car door opened, and Lin Xiao stepped out barefoot, dressed casually.

Upon seeing Lin Xiao, the employees at the entrance immediately lit up, like they had found their pillar of strength. With a whoosh, they surrounded him.

As Wan Caixuan’s personal bodyguard and head of logistics, Lin Xiao was well known and highly regarded at Brilliant Aya. Everyone recognized him.

“Brother Lin, you’re finally here!” Luo Xiaofeng pointed at the men in black and choked out his grievance. He had a bruised face and red eyes.

“Those guys suddenly showed up and blocked the whole building. Everyone was kicked out. Look at my face. They hit me. Some of our brothers had their arms and legs broken and were just sent to the hospital.”

“Mr. Lin, the CEO and Manager Ning are still inside!” A girl in black-rimmed glasses with a sweet face and full chest clutched Lin Xiao’s arm anxiously. “We couldn’t reach them by phone, I… I…”

She suddenly covered her face and sobbed, unable to continue.

Lin Xiao’s face was as calm as still water. He gently patted her shoulder.

“It’s fine. I’m here now. Leave the rest to me. Call the hospital, have them send an ambulance.”

“But… but the others from security have already been sent to the hospital…”

“I’m not talking about them. I mean those guys.” Lin Xiao’s sharp gaze swept across the burly men guarding the door, and he stepped forward.

“Stop right there,” a deep voice barked as Lin Xiao approached. “This area is off limits.”

Lin Xiao remained indifferent, ignoring the warning. His pace didn’t slow as he continued forward.

Behind the sunglasses, one of the burly men’s eyes flashed cold. He turned to the others. “Who wants to take care of him?”

“I’ll go.”

A particularly massive man stepped out from the group.

He stood nearly 1.9 meters tall, broad-shouldered and muscular, with biceps thicker than most people’s thighs. His suit was stretched to the breaking point over his frame. He cracked his knuckles loudly, then took off his sunglasses, revealing eyes filled with ferocity. He looked Lin Xiao up and down, disdain in his gaze.

Because Lin Xiao looked disheveled, having rushed over barefoot and with a lean build, he lacked the aura of a martial expert. The big man completely dismissed him as just another ordinary security guard.

He stood arrogantly in place, waiting for Lin Xiao to approach, then suddenly lashed out with a powerful kick aimed at Lin Xiao’s chest.

The kick was lightning-fast and carried tremendous force, showcasing the man’s solid foundation.

Lin Xiao’s face remained expressionless. Without dodging, he raised his leg and kicked out to meet the blow.
