Chapter 69: Is she a dog?
by tinytreeAfter his bath, Lin Xiao decided to wash the day’s worn clothes, then stepped out of the bathroom in his trousers.
Wan Caixuan, engrossed in her television show, inadvertently cast her eyes on Lin Xiao, her face flushing to a deep shade of crimson in an instant.
With a soft plop, the pillow she’d been clutching tumbled to the floor. Her cheeks flamed as she stuttered out, “What… what are you doing?”
Lin Xiao was slightly taken aback by Wan Caixuan’s reaction. It was common for men to be shirtless, after all, and he wasn’t completely bare; he still had his trousers on.
“What’s the matter? Is there a problem?”
“Why aren’t you wearing a shirt?” Wan Caixuan was on the verge of hysteria.
Given her childhood aversion to men, Wan Caixuan had never seen a man shirtless before. Yet, here stood Lin Xiao, his torso exposed right in front of her.
She hastily shielded her eyes with her hand. However, her actions seemed somewhat self-deceptive. Her eyes remained open behind her spread fingers, unable to block her line of sight completely. Unwillingly, her gaze kept straying to Lin Xiao’s body.
Just as women possess an innate allure for men, a strong male physique can be equally tempting to women.
Lin Xiao’s physique was impressive. Unlike the exaggerated muscles of bodybuilders, his were compact yet not overdone, the perfect balance that most women find attractive.
His muscle definition was smooth, each contour sharp and clear. His pecs and abs resembled a marble sculpture. Without a trace of excess fat, his body radiated power and a sense of dominance.
His body was littered with interlacing scars, adding a wild charm to Lin Xiao.
‘He has an incredible body.’
Wan Caixuan found this thought suddenly surfacing in her mind, quickly catching herself and shutting her eyes tightly.
“I’m sorry, but my clothes are freshly washed.” Noticing Wan Caixuan’s discomfort and sensing an opportunity for some fun, Lin Xiao deliberately approached her, reassuring her, “Rest easy, President Wan, I won’t do anything.”
Despite his words, he slowly moved toward Wan Caixuan, bending his body and drawing ever closer to her. His gaze, sharp and intense, was transfixed on Wan Caixuan’s stunningly beautiful face.
“What… what are you doing?”
The sudden move by Lin Xiao startled Wan Caixuan. She backed away hastily, her hands instinctively shielding her chest, her eyes wide with panic as she looked at Lin Xiao.
Wan Caixuan, usually calm and aloof, now looked uncharacteristically flustered—like a startled rabbit caught in the gaze of an approaching wolf.
This expression, combined with Wan Caixuan’s stunning face and alluring figure, was enough to stir primal desires in any man. Even Lin Xiao felt his heart pound uncontrollably.
Luckily, he had just taken a cold shower, which helped him regain his composure. Otherwise, even with his level of self-control, he doubted whether he could keep his impulses at bay.
“President Wan, you dropped a pillow on the sofa.”
Just as Wan Caixuan was contemplating screaming for help, Lin Xiao stood upright, a pillow in his hand. He said, smirking slightly, “President Wan, I was just picking up the pillow for you. What else could I possibly do? Surely you didn’t mistake my intentions?”
Relieved yet annoyed, Wan Caixuan realized Lin Xiao had been teasing her.
She grabbed a pillow and hurled it at him, her voice cold with irritation, “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”
She was fuming inside, itching to teach Lin Xiao a lesson. But her rage made her forget she was clad in a nightgown, which slipped down slightly due to her abrupt movements.
Lin Xiao averted his gaze, his mouth dry. He couldn’t push his luck further, for he might lose control. “It’s late. You should go rest now.”
Wan Caixuan noticed the odd look in Lin Xiao’s eyes. Looking down, she found her nightgown askew. Her face, already flushed, turned a deeper shade of red. She felt mortified.
Almost reflexively, she covered her chest, her bright eyes blazing with indignation. She glared at Lin Xiao. “Pervert!”
Lin Xiao responded, a helpless look on his face, “President Wan, please calm down. I assure you, I saw nothing.”
“I’m perfectly calm.” Wan Caixuan shot up from the sofa, her teeth clenched. “You dare say you saw nothing. I won’t let you off easy.”
Wan Caixuan felt unduly wronged. In the course of just one night, Lin Xiao had taken advantage of her twice. She saw him as her nemesis, the one who had fully unveiled her body that no one else had ever glimpsed. And now, he was taking advantage of her yet again.
Filled with increasing indignation, her mind overwhelmed by anger and humiliation, she set aside all considerations of her usual decorum and ladylike composure. She suddenly leaped from the sofa, lunging toward Lin Xiao with flailing claws, recklessly oblivious to her own exposure.
Lin Xiao was taken aback by the intensity of Wan Caixuan’s reaction. She had outright attacked him. Even though her assault was riddled with flaws and offered no real threat, he had to catch her in mid-air to prevent her from falling to the ground.
Once he steadied her landing, Lin Xiao effortlessly seized her slender, porcelain-white arms, restraining her movement. Their bodies were closely intertwined in an unmistakably suggestive pose.
Wan Caixuan found herself pressed against Lin Xiao’s chest. He wasn’t impervious to desire, and the current situation, dangerously teetering on the edge of sanity, spurred thoughts within him.
“Let go of me,” she demanded, struggling with renewed intensity.
But the harder she writhed, the closer their bodies drew together, increasing the points of contact.
“Enough!” Lin Xiao, feeling his control slipping, growled lowly.
His roar startled Wan Caixuan into stillness. Her luminous eyes locked onto his, her teeth clenched in frustration, as if she wished to sink them into his flesh.
“President, please calm yourself.” Lin Xiao firmly held Wan Caixuan’s arms, his gaze steady on hers as he spoke in a deep, calming tone.
His clear and composed eyes gradually helped soothe Wan Caixuan, whose mind had been clouded by embarrassment and anger.
Her breath came in ragged gasps, her chest undulating with each intake, sparking unfamiliar sensations within her. Their bodies pressed together, his strong heartbeat palpable, causing her body to soften involuntarily.
Once she had regained her composure, Wan Caixuan realized that continuing this struggle would only put her at a disadvantage.
“Release me,” Wan Caixuan demanded icily.
Seeing that she had finally regained her composure, Lin Xiao released his grip on her, restoring her freedom.
The moment Lin Xiao let go, Wan Caixuan unexpectedly leaned forward, pressing her stunning face against his chest. She opened her mouth and sank her teeth into his chest, leaving a clear bite mark that began to seep a trickle of blood.
Frowning, Lin Xiao pushed Wan Caixuan away.
With an air of triumph on her face, Wan Caixuan stared at Lin Xiao, seemingly satisfied that she had released her pent-up anger. She licked her lips and then declared, “Let’s consider today’s incident even. You’ve seen me, and I’ve bitten you.”
After her pronouncement, she strode past Lin Xiao with an air of defiance, much like a child who had just stolen some candy. A look of satisfaction adorned her face as she ascended to the bedroom on the second floor of the villa.
“Resorts to biting at the drop of a hat, is she a dog?”
Lin Xiao watched Wan Caixuan’s retreating figure, shook his head in disbelief, and took out a tissue to wipe off the saliva she had left on his chest.
Although Wan Caixuan had bitten him, she had restrained herself. The wound wasn’t severe. Given Lin Xiao’s robust constitution, the teeth marks on his chest would likely vanish by tomorrow.
