Once again, it was an all-hands-on-deck operation.

All the program inspectors and Captains who had been resting in the tents immediately sprang into action.

Wang Yun had fled to the mountains on either side of the highway. These two mountains were vast in area, making it very challenging to catch him. Fortunately, there were no dangerous wild animals on these mountains, so while it was difficult, it wasn’t particularly dangerous.

Viewers were growing increasingly excited watching the livestream, especially fans of 1Li Ye, who were ecstatic.

“Oh my god, this is so thrilling! What brand are those roller skates? I need to buy a pair for my boyfriend!”

“I’m signing my son up for roller skating lessons right now! If he refuses, I’ll just have another kid and start over!”

“I’m dying of laughter. That inspector was too dumb! How could he believe that the cola was poisoned?”

“I have to say, the idea of shaking up the cola and using the carbon dioxide to create a mini fountain was pure genius. It was completely out of the box!”

“Big Bro is Big Bro! Even when cornered into a shop, which is probably the smallest restricted zone in this show’s history, they still couldn’t catch him in the end!”

“This is too exciting! Now that he’s escaped to the highway, who can catch him? It’s going to be another chase loop!”

The chat was filled with joyful comments.

Every moment of Wang Yun’s escape was action-packed, with no dull points whatsoever.

One word summed it up: thrilling.

This word had been repeated so many times in Wang Yun’s livestream that it was practically worn out.

Meanwhile, Wang Yun could also feel the viewers’ enthusiasm. This was evident from the continuous rise in his Shock Value Points.

    Shock Points +10,000

    Shock Points +10,000

    Shock Points +…

Wang Yun watched his Shock Points climb continuously. He was pleased but also indifferent. He didn’t have any particular skills he wanted to exchange for at the moment. But it didn’t matter. He’d save them for later. They’d definitely come in handy at some point.

Thanks to the roller skates, Wang Yun’s speed was exceptionally fast, comparable to riding a motorcycle.

The key advantage was that, at this late hour, the roads on either side were pitch dark, with no streetlights. And because of the earthquake, there were no vehicles on the road either.

Wang Yun, however, ignored all of this. He slid forward with everything he had as if his life depended on it.

His skating speed left the livestream audience utterly stunned, their mouths agape.

Watching this stream, with its first-person perspective, gave them a visceral sense of immersion—like sitting in the front row of a roller coaster.

What would have been a three-kilometer journey, requiring at least ten minutes of running, took Wang Yun less than two minutes to cover.

Soon, he spotted the first “No Climbing” sign.

He retracted the wheels of his skates, walked over, and lowered his head.

At the top of the sign, he noticed a branch—an exceptionally thin branch. On the branch, there were two faint nail marks.

Three horizontal lines and one vertical line.

Arranged neatly on the branch, they formed the Chinese character for “Wang” (王).

“These two are pretty cautious, they even thought of this,” Wang Yun chuckled, tucking the branch into his pocket.

He had instructed the two to leave markers along the way, and they’d done a decent job.

Only someone as sharp as Wang Yun could have spotted a detail like this. Anyone else would never have noticed such a tiny, fragile branch.

And yet, here it was—thinner than a pinky finger—carved with markings that felt like a riddle.

    This approach was, frankly, brilliant.

Following their trail, Wang Yun climbed up.

Logically, they must have gone further up the mountain.

At a higher vantage point, it was easier to observe the movements below. If an escape were necessary, they’d likely choose to run uphill, as the higher areas of a mountain usually had fewer obstacles.

They could even consider using a paraglider—after all, it wouldn’t be their first time trying it.

Following this logic, Wang Yun climbed upward quickly.

Fortunately, although the mountain was steep in some places, there weren’t many obstacles along the way to hinder his progress.

Just two minutes into his climb, he heard faint footsteps in the distance.

Soon after, familiar voices floated over:

“Ugh… this branch snagged my pants. Xiao Gang, give me a hand!”

“Brother Hu, hold out your hand!”

“I can’t! If I let go of this branch, I’ll fall! I can’t help you!”

“Fine, just stay still! I’ll use both hands to push up your legs!”

Xiao Gang and Brother Hu were bickering back and forth as they were struggling with their climb.

Wang Yun couldn’t help but chuckle and cleared his throat deliberately, coughing twice to startle them.

After all, this was supposed to be an escape, so what were they doing messing around like this?

    “Who’s there?”

“Crap! Could they have caught up to us? Don’t come down here, I can climb! Forget about the pants!”

At this, their movements noticeably sped up, and their voices dropped to a whisper. Without saying another word, they scrambled upward as fast as they could.

Brother Hu’s pants had been snagged by a branch, leaving a visible tear that exposed his skin.

Xiao Gang, being smaller and more agile, was in front, clearing the path.

The route they’d chosen was the one closest to the mountaintop, but it was also the steepest section.

“At the speed you two are going, if I were an inspector, I’d have caught you by now.”

Wang Yun decided to stop teasing them. As he spoke, he pulled the twig from his pocket and tossed it in their direction.

    “Who’s there?”

    “Crap!”

    “Boss!”

    “What? That fast?”
