Chapter 367: Wang Yun Is Running on Pure Willpower!
by tinytreeWang Yun wasn’t a child.
Seeing how suddenly these people had changed their attitudes, he lost all patience.
“I’ll do it myself.”
His deep, hoarse voice rang out. It wasn’t loud, but enough to make all four of them freeze on the spot. They didn’t dare move a muscle.
Right now, Wang Yun looked physically exhausted, like he could collapse any second. But the aura he gave off was enough to make them feel completely powerless in front of him.
“Damn it, just looking at them pisses me off. Where was all this enthusiasm earlier?!”
“These guys just gave us a real-life demonstration of what two-faced means!”
“Thank god Big Bro made it out okay. I was seriously scared when he passed out!”
“If something really happened to him, I swear I wouldn’t have let them get away with it!”
“Bro, you’re thinking too small. Even though Big Brother is fine now, everything they did has already been recorded. My keyboard is locked and loaded!”
“These scumbags only started acting nice because they realized they were caught on camera. Where was all this guilt before?!”
“Everyone, open your eyes. This is human nature at its worst!”
The livestream chat exploded with rage, the audience furiously smashing their keyboards.
Even in the broadcast studio, Old Fang’s face was red with anger.
Though compared to before, he was at least a little calmer now—earlier, he had been so shocked he almost had a heart attack.
“This is what the younger generation has become? If all young people were as selfish as these four, what future would our country even have? Disgraceful! This is an absolute failure of education.” Old Fang couldn’t hold back his words—he blurted them out on live TV.
Beside him, Liu Qingqing also had a dark expression. She completely agreed.
Even though they were public figures, that didn’t mean they had to stay neutral in the face of such blatant selfishness.
“Comrade Wang Yun, you need to evacuate immediately. We’re on our way to meet up with you,” Li Long’s voice came through again, urging him to leave now.
His voice was still filled with worry.
Not for a second did he relax, even though Wang Yun had already regained consciousness. Everyone in their line of work understood the situation clearly.
Wang Yun’s condition was far from good.
The only reason he had woken up so quickly was because of his unbreakable willpower.
In other words, this was basically a final burst of energy before collapse.
“Captain, I’m still a little worried,” one of the firefighters rushing alongside Li Long couldn’t help but say in a low voice.
Li Long didn’t turn his head, his expression dark and serious.
But the executive producer heard the firefighter’s words loud and clear. His mic was linked to both Li Long’s channel and Wang Yun’s voice feed, allowing him to monitor both sides.
“What do you mean? Captain, what does that mean? Is the fire about to spread toward Wang Yun?”
The producer assumed they were talking about the fire conditions.
Wang Yun had just barely gotten a moment to rest—he couldn’t be forced to run again, right?! Especially not while dragging those four burdens along.
Normally, when controversial bystanders appeared in a survival show, the production team would censor their faces to avoid unnecessary conflict and protect them as innocent civilians.
But this time the producer didn’t do that.
In fact, he deliberately took screenshots of their faces and plastered them in the upper-left corner of the livestream, making sure everyone clearly saw what they looked like.
Not for any legal reason. Just out of pure spite.
Even if these four tried to sue the show for violating their portrait rights, the production team didn’t care.
Worst case? They’d just pay the fine.
They had plenty of money.
But insulting Wang Yun meant insulting their entire show.
That was something they wouldn’t tolerate.
“Based on the wind speed, the fire won’t spread toward Comrade Wang Yun too quickly,” Li Long finally responded.
But it was obvious he wasn’t finished.
“Then what is your man still worried about? At least he’s alive, right?” the producer said. His words came out fast, like he was desperately trying to confirm something.
Li Long glanced at his man, who immediately lowered his head in guilt.
“To be completely honest, Comrade Wang Yun’s current condition defies all logic. When a person is pushed to their absolute limits, their body goes into extreme overdrive. Once that overdrive ends, the body starts breaking down, causing severe internal damage to the organs. Since Wang Yun passed out earlier and his vitals were already weak, he should have remained unconscious, at the very least, he’d need three to four days of rest before waking up again. And yet…”
Li Long paused at this point.
The producer couldn’t wait and immediately jumped in. “And yet Wang Yun woke up in just one minute, right?”
Li Long nodded instinctively, then realized the producer couldn’t see him.
“Yes.”
“So what does that prove? Brother Wang has always been in top shape. You’ve seen our show, you should know that.”
The producer’s voice was urgent, but this time, it was also trembling. He was panicking, trying to convince himself.
“I know… but in the end, he’s still human. We’ve seen cases like this before, when the body is pushed too far, it fights back. I’m afraid that the moment we all reach Wang Yun… He might… He might just… die on the spot. Right now, he’s in his final burst of energy, this is his body’s last stand. He’s experiencing a last flicker before the flame goes out.”
A final burst of energy.
A body burning itself out.
And after that—death.
