Chapter 513: Begin the Retreat, Do Not Engage in the Chaos!
by tinytreeThe two of them followed the crowd all the way to the entrance of the residential complex.
When Wang Yun saw the people gathered at the gate, his eyes lit up with excitement. Program inspectors were everywhere. If they had guns right now, a single sweep could take out a whole group.
“Boss! I spotted several inspectors up ahead,” Xiao Gang said excitedly, pointing ahead.
Wang Yun nodded and raised a finger to his lips.
“Come on. Follow them. We’ll make our move under the cover of the chaos.”
With that, Wang Yun once again charged forward as if nothing were out of the ordinary, blending seamlessly into the crowd.
“Money’s falling again! The angel has returned!”
“Thank God! Thank the angel! When does it start?!”
“Stay back! There’s no angel, no money giveaway! Don’t come any closer!”
“We’re filming a program here, what are you doing?!”
The surging crowd threw the program inspectors stationed beneath Building 3 into complete disarray.
“What do you mean filming a program? This is obviously our angel coming to scatter riches!”
“Who are you people?! Why are you pushing me?!”
In a matter of seconds, conflict broke out between the civilians and the program inspectors.
It had started as a moment of joyful excitement until someone blurted out that this was just part of a show. To make matters worse, the people making the announcement were unfamiliar faces. How could the locals be expected to accept that?
It was like seeing money on the ground, reaching to pick it up, only to be told it’s a stage prop.
But the money had clearly come from the locals themselves.
Who could tolerate that?
Now the program inspectors were in full-blown panic.
“Captain, report, locals have gathered en masse around Building 3 after hearing some unknown message!”
“Captain, the situation on-site is out of control. The fugitive is still inside the building.”
“Captain, Dragon Nation inspectors are blocking our access to the building. Requesting forced entry!”
“Captain, all six nation teams are now in position. Requesting further instructions!”
At that moment, an unspoken tension passed through the program inspectors. One by one, they raised their walkie-talkies and began reporting in a flurry of chaotic updates.
Inside the control rooms, every captain wore a grim expression.
This entire commotion, caused by a single fugitive, had spiraled into full-scale chaos.
Angels. Rich people scattering cash.
It was far too coincidental.

Inside the Royal Family’s program control room, Eve stared intently at the screen, her gaze heavy.
“Someone clearly orchestrated this chaos on purpose. Something isn’t right. Fall back!”
“Fall back?”
The inspectors were stunned. But orders were orders; they had no choice but to obey. The subgroup leader of the Royal Family’s team glanced reluctantly around.
Then, gritting his teeth, he shouted, “Retreat!”
“What? Retreat now?” someone asked, dumbfounded.
The Royal Family had dispatched twenty-eight people for this operation, completely surrounding Building 3. While inspectors from other nations were also present and mixed in, it would still be possible to force their own team through.
If they could just break into the building, no one could say for sure who would ultimately catch the fugitive.
But the order was final.
“Captain’s command. Retreat immediately!”
Hearing that, the unwilling program inspectors had no choice but to comply.
When the Royal Family’s inspectors began pulling back, it caused panic among the others.
The remaining countries quickly radioed their own captains. But none of the foreign leaders were thrilled by the news. On the contrary, their expressions grew darker. Now they too had to consider whether to stay or get out of the mess.
Because the situation was spiraling out of control.
The inspectors were disorganized.
And in the command room, the atmosphere was just as tense.
Zhao Youcheng and Wu Yaoming sat solemnly, but not because of how to catch the fugitive. Their concern lay elsewhere. It lay on the note in front of them.
“It’s not hard to guess what Ying Yuezi means,” Zhao Youcheng said after a moment of thought.
Wu Yaoming nodded. Having worked with her before, they had a good sense of her intentions.
“Agree to her terms,” Zhao continued. “Let her get close to Wang Yun. If she earns his trust, everything else becomes easy.”
“In that case, let’s withdraw our personnel immediately. We can’t afford to lose people now,” Wu Yaoming said, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as if he could already see Wang Yun being captured.
This decision was met with full agreement from Zhao Youcheng and Wu Mingyu.
The scene had devolved into utter chaos. There was no way to guarantee their own team wouldn’t be caught up in the confusion or even betrayed. No one knew what agendas others were harboring.
And so, the Dragon Nation program inspectors began to retreat.
Their withdrawal rattled the remaining six national teams even more.

“Xiao Gang, do you see that guy on your left, just around the corner of the building?” Wang Yun pointed to a figure approximately 200 meters away. “The one who looks kind of handsome.”
Xiao Gang squinted, trying to focus. Then shook his head.
“Nope. Boss, your eyesight is unreal.”
Even though Xiao Gang’s vision was 1.0, he couldn’t make out the man’s facial features at all, just a vague silhouette.
Wang Yun chuckled, his lips curling into a grin.
“Well, can’t help it, he’s just too good-looking.”
With that, he waved his hand and plunged straight into the crowd.
