Wang Yun’s words brought the entire crowd to a sudden, stunned silence. For a few seconds, no one dared to speak. And then, the crowd erupted.

“This young man has a razor-sharp tongue!”

“He’s absolutely right! The Mao family is done for!”

“Big Brother is Big Brother. Every word out of his mouth is gold!”

“Grandpa, he’s right! That’s exactly what our teacher always says. We must take responsibility for our actions!”

The people surrounding Wang Yun began murmuring amongst themselves.

Some nodded in agreement, others glanced at the shell-shocked father and son, still kneeling in disgrace.

Wang Yun cast them one last cold look. There was nothing left to say.

“Alright, folks. That’s the end of today’s livestream. With so many fans around, they won’t dare touch me anyway.”

He announced it casually, raising his hand to end the broadcast.

On the other side of the stream, fans scrambled to type their messages.

“Big Brother! When’s the next one?”

“I’ll be waiting! Please stream again soon!”

“Just give us a time! I’ll be there no matter what!”

But Wang Yun didn’t respond. He simply waved at the camera.

    The screen cut to black.

    Notice: Livestream ended.

The fans watching were left anxious, unsatisfied, and a little heartbroken.

    Wang Yun pocketed his phone.

At that moment, Mao Guo and his son realized the stream had ended. They looked up, as if about to speak, perhaps hoping they still had a chance.

But then, with a quiet screech of tires—

Two sleek black cars pulled up behind them.

They rolled to a stop, right behind Wang Yun. The doors opened, and a group of serious-looking officials stepped out, their expressions unreadable.

They moved with purpose straight toward Wang Yun.

    “Are you Mr. Wang?”

The leader of the group asked, scanning the scene.

It wasn’t hard to identify him.

Wang Yun was the only one standing tall, the only one fully masked, and the only one radiating the kind of presence their superior had described.

    Wang Yun nodded coolly.

    “That’s me. Who are you?”

“We’re from a relevant authority. We received a public report of a suspected assault and illegal behavior taking place at this location. It appears to be an organized disturbance. Where are the individuals involved?”

As he spoke, he flashed his ID—official, serious, and clearly not from the local precinct.

    Everyone nearby could sense it.

This man wasn’t just a police officer. He was someone far higher up.

    “It’s them.”

Wang Yun’s fans didn’t hesitate, pointing directly at Mao Guo and Mao Yan, still kneeling on the ground.

Tears streamed down the faces of the father and son.

    But they didn’t look surprised.

They looked terrified. Because not long ago, they had received a warning that someone was coming to investigate. They just hadn’t expected them to arrive so soon.

“Mao Guo, Mao Yan,” the official said firmly, “You are under arrest. Please come with us to assist with the investigation.”

The officials behind him stepped forward at once.

They didn’t use handcuffs. They didn’t need to. Their sheer presence was more than enough to drain the blood from the two men’s faces.

They looked like they might collapse from fear alone.

“No, no! This is all a misunderstanding! Mr. Wang, please say something!”

“I know I was wrong! Xiao Gang, we grew up in the same village. Please, help me!”

Their voices rose in panic as reality finally hit them.

    This wasn’t some internet spat.

    This was serious.

    This was irreversible.

The surrounding workers, even those who had once followed Mao Guo’s lead, now stood frozen, afraid they might be next.

“Mr. Wang,” the lead official spoke again, turning toward him, “I was asked to deliver a message before we leave.”

He made no move to depart. Instead, he adjusted his glasses with a calm smile, then reached into his coat and produced a single business card.

It bore no name. Only a landline phone number.

“Hm?” Wang Yun frowned. He was caught off guard.

This man wasn’t someone he’d ever dealt with before.

Was he here to investigate him?

    Had he broken some law?

He mentally retraced his steps but couldn’t recall doing anything illegal.

“It’s from one of my seniors,” the official explained calmly. “There’s no need to be nervous. He just wants to get to know you. He’s been watching your livestreams. He’s very impressed.”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it was sharp and clear, just loud enough for the nearby villagers to overhear.

“Don’t be so quick to reject this. “Some people would give anything to receive that card. Mr. Wang, I know you’re a smart man. When it comes to insight and strategy, I can’t even compare to you. Who knows? Maybe someday you’ll be my superior.”

With that, the man gently slipped the card into Wang Yun’s hand.

Wang Yun raised his eyebrows, taken aback by the final remark.

    Your superior?

He had caught a glimpse of the man’s badge earlier.

This wasn’t someone the average citizen would ever get to meet, let alone surpass.

His position was far more powerful than Wang Yun had expected.

“Mr. Wang…” the man said with a knowing smile as he turned away, “We’ll meet again.”

With those parting words, he walked off, taking the wailing father and son with him.

As they were led away, the only sound left behind was the eerie chiming of their phones, ringing like death bells from deep inside their pockets.
