Chapter 450: If You Like It, I’ll Buy the Whole Restaurant and Give It to You!
by tinytreeWang Yun pulled up in front of the company building.
His luxury car, worth over a million yuan, naturally turned heads. Add his striking looks to the mix, and the sight of him holding hands with Xiao Yanran instantly drew countless envious stares her way.
“Handsome Wang,” Zhu Xiaoxiao popped out from the side with a teasing grin, “I won’t interrupt your dinner plans, but would you mind dropping me off on the way?”
She wasn’t actually interested in Wang Yun romantically. Like everyone, she simply appreciated beauty. Staring at a handsome man a few extra times felt like a cure for aging.
Wang Yun chuckled and gently tapped Xiao Yanran’s forehead.
“As long as my Yanran doesn’t mind.”
Xiao Yanran gave him a playful nudge, her cheeks flushed.
“Go on then, hurry up and get in the car. If we keep loitering here, I’ll be tomorrow’s company headline again.”
She was much more relaxed now compared to their first few meetings. After all, they’d already spent hours chatting on their phones, and familiarity had bloomed quickly.
Granted, Wang Yun hadn’t messaged much the past two days while he was at Xiao Gang’s place, mostly due to all the drinking.
But Yanran hadn’t minded. She’d been understanding and sweet the entire time.
It was precisely that gentle, reasonable nature that melted Wang Yun’s heart.
So yesterday, he’d finally confessed his feelings over text.
And Xiao Yanran—without any airs—had said yes.
Today marked their first official date as a couple.
Wang Yun had already booked a high-end restaurant, planning to treat her to a formal candlelit dinner.
After dropping Zhu Xiaoxiao off at her apartment, they headed straight to the venue.
It was a rooftop Western restaurant with a sweeping view of Magic City’s glittering skyline. It was arguably the most exclusive spot in town.
When Xiao Yanran stepped onto the rooftop, she was utterly stunned.
A long table lay before them, draped in flowers and candles. Soft piano music played from a nearby stage.
The entire rooftop had been reserved just for them.
Eight servers stood by, smiling, ready to serve.
At that moment, Yanran felt like she was dating a prince.
“This… this is way too much,” she whispered, overwhelmed.
On the drive over, Wang Yun had promised her a night to remember. She’d mentally prepared herself, but still, nothing could’ve braced her for this.
She could hardly contain her excitement or her nerves.
How much must all this have cost?
Wang Yun, sensing her hesitation, only grew fonder of her.
He walked forward, gently took her hand, and led her to the table. Pulling out her chair with quiet care, he smiled.
“I told you, your man’s got both love and money. If you like this place, I’ll buy the whole restaurant and give it to you.”
Xiao Yanran’s face flushed a deeper shade of red.
Under the warm candlelight, she looked especially radiant.
Even the waitresses nearby couldn’t hide their envy.
They had served plenty of rich men before, but it was the first time they’d heard someone so casually offer to buy the entire restaurant as a gift.
“Even if you’re rich, don’t be so reckless with it,” Xiao Yanran whispered, embarrassed.
Wang Yun grinned and nodded obediently, opening her cutlery and laying it out for her with charming attentiveness.
“Right, right. Gotta save up if I want to marry you someday.”
“Aiya, you’re so annoying!”
Their dinner passed in a happy blur of laughter and sweet banter.
After dropping Xiao Yanran off at her place, Wang Yun returned to his own home.
Just as he stepped through the door, a message popped up on his phone:
Hello, Mr. Wang. Sorry to bother you. I’m the community group leader for the residents here. We were hoping to invite you to next week’s homeowners’ gathering. Nothing formal, just a chance to get acquainted. Everyone’s been talking about what happened this afternoon. You’re admired by many!
— Luo Fei
“Oh? There’s a homeowners group?”
Wang Yun raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
This upscale community was a bit different. Even the residents were organized.
Still, he wasn’t particularly interested in attending a party like that.
In the coming days, he planned to dive into some research, specifically, escape-themed films from both China and abroad.
He’d be stepping into the film industry soon, and the more knowledge he had, the better he could support Old Zhou with ideas for effects and pacing.
It was Old Zhou who’d suggested the idea in the first place.
Without replying to the message, Wang Yun set his phone aside and powered up his computer.
He watched films late into the night before drifting off to sleep.
Xiao Yanran had to focus on an important project at work over the next few days, so she’d be busy.
Wang Yun didn’t want to disturb her. Just because they were officially dating now didn’t mean they had to be glued to each other.
Every person still needed their own space.

The next morning, Wang Yun resumed his movie-binge routine.
He’d already watched a staggering number of films over the past few days, but too many of them were riddled with plot holes.
Sure, movies were supposed to draw from real life, but the logic behind some of these screenplays was laughable.
Maybe his IQ was just too high; he could spot every plot hole at a glance.
“Sipping red wine while watching a movie… this really is the life. The world of the rich does have its perks.”
Wang Yun sprawled out on his couch, legs crossed, gazing at the 180-inch laser projection screen that dominated his living room.
He’d just lifted his glass to take a sip—
Ding-dong!
The doorbell rang.
