Chapter 453: If You Don’t Make a Move, Someone Else Might!
by tinytree“Wow, I didn’t know our Handsome Wang was this popular!”
Zhu Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.
Her personality was far more outgoing than Xiao Yanran’s. She was bold, bubbly, and quick to get close to people.
Xiao Qian lifted his chin proudly. “Of course! Mr. Wang is the star of our entire community right now. Plenty of homeowners have been asking about him, hoping for a chance to get acquainted.”
No sooner had he finished speaking than Zhu Xiaoxiao clasped her hands beneath her chin, striking an exaggerated pose of adoration.
With a dramatic sway of her hips and a pouty duckface, she said, “Aiya, then I can’t call him Handsome Wang anymore. I’ll just call him… Male God! From now on, you’re my personal male god!”
She even blew Wang Yun a kiss.
Wang Yun turned his head to the side, helplessly shooting Xiao Yanran a pleading look that said, Can you do something about her?
But to his surprise, Xiao Yanran mimicked Zhu Xiaoxiao’s actions, though in a far more reserved manner.
“Then I’ll call you Male God too!”
Laughter burst out in the elevator, ringing with playful joy.
They rose from the third basement level to the first floor and stepped out into the residential area.
Since Wang Yun had brought them in through the underground parking entrance, neither of the girls had gotten a good look at the neighborhood until now.
And the moment they emerged from the elevator, their jaws dropped.
A lavish lobby unfolded before them, like the reception area of a five-star hotel, full of opulence and polish.
And this was just a hallway off the elevator.
Once they stepped outside the lobby, their awe only deepened.
The scenery was like something out of a private garden.
Birdsong filled the air, floral scents lingered faintly, and the whole atmosphere carried a refined, almost aristocratic air.
Everywhere they looked, it was lush with greenery.
Trees, shrubs, and flowers in perfect harmony.
The entire place was unbelievably quiet.
A quick glance around revealed not a single residential building in sight. Which meant the spacing between units here was exceptionally generous. Each home was carefully sectioned off by verdant landscaping, granting privacy without the need for walls.
No risk of peeking neighbors here.
Zhu Xiaoxiao and Xiao Yanran walked with their mouths half-open, soaking in the surroundings.
Xiao Qian led the group forward, pointing things out along the way—ornamental rocks, flowing fountains, and even a koi pond.
To their astonishment, two white swans floated gracefully on the water.
After passing a babbling brook, they arrived at a garden roughly the size of an elementary school’s playground.
A rubber running track circled its perimeter. It was perfect for evening strolls.
The grassy lawn inside was dotted with all kinds of children’s play structures.
From a distance, they looked brand new, clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
Two uniformed attendants stood beneath large parasols nearby, clearly assigned to supervise the area.
And this was only a third of the community grounds.
“Yanran, I can’t—this is too much,” Zhu Xiaoxiao gasped, clutching Xiao Yanran’s arm in disbelief.
If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would’ve thought she was dreaming. And even if it was a dream, she couldn’t have dreamed it this perfectly. This place was so beautiful, just being a janitor here would raise her social status by a hundredfold.
“Me too!” Xiao Yanran said, her voice trembling.
Zhu Xiaoxiao had assumed she was the only one this easily impressed.
But seeing Xiao Yanran even more shocked than her made her feel less embarrassed.
“Hey, pull yourself together!” Zhu Xiaoxiao urged, gripping her friend’s arm tighter. “You’re going to be a homeowner here! I’m telling you, you have to marry my male god. My future depends on it. Whether I rise to the top or not, it’s all riding on you!”
She poured her hopes and ambitions into Xiao Yanran with every word.
Flustered, Xiao Yanran swatted her hand away and glanced nervously at Wang Yun. Fortunately, he was still chatting with Xiao Qian and hadn’t heard.
Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief.
“Stop saying that stuff. If brother hears you, he’ll think I’m just after his money,” she pouted.
Zhu Xiaoxiao smirked devilishly.
“Oho~ Still calling him ‘brother’ at this point? The two of you were holding hands at the office entrance the other day! Everyone saw! You can stop pretending to be reserved now. My male god is amazing, he’s handsome, rich, and generous with you. If you don’t make a move, some other girl’s going to snatch him up. Don’t come crying to me then!”
Xiao Yanran shot her a glare and turned away, refusing to answer.
But inside, she was starting to waver.
Zhu Xiaoxiao had a point.
Wang Yun was too outstanding. Everything he did—on screen or in real life—was at the highest level.
And her?
She was just an ordinary girl next door. She’d even had a serious illness once… one that nearly took her life. Even for a regular guy, that kind of past might make someone hesitate. Let alone someone like Wang Yun.
She trailed behind the others, watching Wang Yun’s confident gait and elegant side profile as he chatted casually with Xiao Qian.
And in that moment, her heart wavered with panic.

“Mr. Wang, that villa up ahead is the Garden Restaurant,” Xiao Qian said with a smile. “There’s a staff member at the entrance who’ll greet you personally, so I’ll take my leave here.”
After a ten-minute walk through the neighborhood, they finally arrived at the private restaurant nestled within the community.
