Chapter 326: Wang Yun in Danger—A New Crisis Amid the Calm!
by tinytreeWhen Wang Yun heard the words shouted from above, his mind was filled with curses.
“Climb up? Are you kidding me? What do you think this is, rock climbing?”
This was mid-air, with nothing but turbulent waters below. The ocean, churned by the seismic tremors beneath, was no ordinary sea. If he fell, not even an Olympic swimming champion could survive. One wave alone could smash him into pieces, let alone his precarious hold on the swaying rope.
A single slip and his fate would be sealed.
“Big Brother, what are you even saying? How can Boss climb up like that?!”
“If the pilot can’t fly properly, let me do it!”
Xiao Gang and Brother Hu shouted furiously, their emotions spilling over.
Brother Hu, in a burst of frustration, tried to storm the cockpit, only to be held back by Hardy and Werner.
“Calm down!” Hardy barked, then turned to the pilot. “Raise the altitude as much as you can. If Wang Yun gets hit by another wave, he won’t let go, he’ll pull this entire helicopter down with him. If you don’t want us all to die, fly higher!”
The pilot’s nerves were already stretched thin, and now they snapped under the pressure.
“Fine!” he shouted, gritting his teeth as he pulled the controls to ascend.
The helicopter began climbing sharply, the increased altitude amplifying the wind turbulence.
Wang Yun, dangling below, swung violently with the movement, his body flailing like a ragdoll.
As the helicopter rose, a massive wave surged up from below, striking Wang Yun’s feet with force. Though the wave didn’t fully engulf him this time, it was a stark reminder of the peril he was in.
“I need to speed up!” the pilot yelled.
His plan was risky: accelerate and rush past the danger. The faster they could reach the port, the better their chances of survival.
If the helicopter lost control mid-air, at least they might crash closer to the ground, where injuries could be minimized.
The raging ocean below seemed alive, waves climbing higher and higher as if trying to swallow the helicopter whole.
At the port’s parking lot, spectators watched the live feed with bated breath, their anxiety reflected in their pale faces. With every lurch of the helicopter, gasps and cries echoed across the crowd.
A journey that should’ve taken mere minutes now felt like an eternity.
Suddenly, the helicopter accelerated, swaying violently before finally emerging over the port.
Cheers erupted from the parking lot.
“They made it! They’re over the port!”
“Thank God they’re safe now!”
“I thought my heart was going to give out! That was terrifying!”
“Safe at last! What a miracle!”
But just as relief began to wash over the crowd, someone shouted:
“Wait! What’s he doing?!”
On the screen, Wang Yun’s body, still hanging from the rope beneath the helicopter, began to slide downward. He moved quickly, his hands loosening their grip on the rope as he made strange hand gestures.
The crowd fell silent again, their joy replaced by confusion and fear.
“What’s going on? Is Wang Yun injured?”
“Call an ambulance! He’s in trouble!”
Xiao Gang and Brother Hu, who had been trying to grab Wang Yun’s rope to secure him, froze when they saw his movements.
The wind had made their efforts futile until now, but the calmer air over the port finally allowed Brother Hu to seize the rope.
“What’s happening to him? Is he hurt?” Wu Yaoming asked, his face grim as he stared at Wang Yun’s deteriorating condition.
“He’s signaling for help! He’s in trouble!” Brother Hu shouted.
Without hesitation, he grabbed the rope and slipped on a pair of gloves. Then, to everyone’s shock, he leaned out of the cabin and began sliding down.
“Brother Hu!”
“Hu Qingtian, are you out of your mind?!”
Hardy and Werner yelled in unison, rushing to pull Brother Hu back, but before they could act, Xiao Gang followed suit, gripping the rope and descending.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Do you all have a death wish?!” the pilot shouted in panic.
“Pull them back in! If they fall, they’ll die!”
Wu Yaoming was livid, his foot stomping the floor in frustration.
This desperate rescue attempt had turned into an escalating disaster.
“Descend! Lower the altitude now!” Wu Yaoming yelled at the pilot, his voice cracking with urgency.
But the pilot was already struggling to maintain control.
“You don’t understand! The winds are still too strong! If we descend now, the entire aircraft could go down!”
Meanwhile, Brother Hu shouted toward Wang Yun through the howling wind, “Boss, hold on! I’m coming! Even if you fall, I’ll be right there with you!”
The camera zoomed in on Wang Yun, his face pale and tinged with blue. His body trembled as he continued to slip down the rope, fighting to stay conscious.
