Chapter 345: Crossing Complete! My Legs Are Shaking Too!
by tinytreeAt this moment, everyone in the livestream gasped sharply.
“My god! He just did a hanging pull-up in midair!”
“Is he insane?!”
“He actually succeeded!”
“I was so nervous I almost peed myself. My cat got squeezed too hard from my panic!”
“If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I’d never believe it!”
“This is insane! He’s literally gambling with his life!”
“Hiss! This is legendary! I could brag about Big Brother for a lifetime! Midair switch, no safety measures!”
“And he even held his teammate in place with his legs! Not to mention, he paused for several seconds! I can’t take it. I want to submit a request to the authorities to dissect Big Brother!”
Everyone in the livestream was completely stunned. This scene was beyond thrilling. It was way more intense than any Hollywood action movie.
With Wang Yun’s death-defying maneuver, they had successfully reached the mountaintop on the other side.
The moment they landed, Xiao Gang and Brother Hu’s legs gave out. They collapsed onto the ground. Drenched in sweat, their clothes stuck to their bodies like they had just stepped out of a bathhouse.
Meanwhile, Wang Yun calmly untied the rope and packed it away as if nothing had happened.
“Boss, you’re a damn god! You’re not human, are you?” Brother Hu said, still sprawled on the ground.
He looked at Wang Yun and let out a helpless shout.
Wang Yun glanced at them. “If I’m not human, then are you?”
After saying that, he suddenly realized he really might be too outrageous. So, he decided to put on a little act.
“I was barely holding on too. My hands and legs have been shaking for a while now. But since I’m your boss, even if I can’t, I have to act like I can.”
After speaking, he deliberately staggered weakly.
This made Brother Hu feel a lot better.
‘So it’s not that they were too weak, Boss also struggled.’
At least, that was what Brother Hu thought. But the livestream audience and Xiao Gang didn’t see it that way. Especially Xiao Gang, he knew exactly how exhausting that was. His arms were completely drained, so weak that he couldn’t even lift them.
They felt like they had dislocated.
Yet their boss—not only packed up the rope effortlessly but also chatted casually like nothing had happened.
This wasn’t just holding on.
This was inhuman.
He was a monster.
At this moment, Xiao Gang had already mentally labeled Wang Yun as an anomaly. He no longer saw Wang Yun as a normal person.
After finishing with the rope, Wang Yun finally sat down. Now, they finally had a moment to catch their breath.
At the very least, even if those people caught up, they would see them on the other side of the mountain and be helpless.
A game of cat and mouse is only fun when the cat can’t catch the mouse.
The three of them lay on the mountaintop. Maybe it was from the intense tension and exhaustion from earlier, but the three of them lay on their backs, staring up at the sky, listening to the wind around them.
Before long, even Wang Yun closed his eyes.
Less than a minute passed from the moment he shut his eyes to falling asleep.
The livestream audience heard the steady breathing and the chat with exchanged glances emojis. But they could understand. What had just happened was way too intense.
At the same time, though, they began to worry.
If the three of them fell into a deep sleep and the program’s inspectors really climbed up, with one careful look their hiding spot would be exposed.
Wouldn’t that mean all their effort escaping was wasted?
On top of that, they were sleeping completely exposed on an open mountaintop. There was nothing to hide them. Most importantly, small earthquakes were still happening.
No one knew how long they had slept.
The audience assumed they’d rest until morning.
But—just three to four hours later…
Right when the viewers were bored in the livestream, playing card games to pass the time, Wang Yun suddenly jolted awake. He shot up instantly, his gaze sharp as he looked toward the opposite mountain.
His expression was deadly serious.
They caught up.
“Get up! Get up! They’re here!”
Wang Yun immediately shook the other two awake.
The two were still groggy. They didn’t even realize they had fallen asleep.
“When did I fall asleep? Achoo!”
“Who’s chasing us? Is it city enforcement?”
Hearing this, Wang Yun couldn’t help but laugh.
Before becoming a background actor, Xiao Gang used to run a street stall and the thing he hated most in life was city enforcement officers. So right now, half-asleep and confused, that was the first thing that came to his mind.
“The program inspectors! I see lights on the other side!” Wang Yun said quickly.
In truth, he had heard movement from the opposite mountain. But if he outright said he woke up just from hearing a sound at this distance, it would seem too unnatural. After all, the distance was way too far.
“Holy shit, you’re right!”
Both of them whipped their heads around, and sure enough—several beams of light were flashing chaotically on the opposite mountaintop.
Instantly, their drowsiness vanished.
“Go!”
Without hesitation, the three grabbed their backpacks and took off running.

Meanwhile, on the other mountain, Wu Yaoming led the way, with Zhao Youcheng keeping pace right behind him.
They had already searched the entire mountain, turning it upside down. Yet, there was no sign of Wang Yun and his team.
Not even suspicious footprints.
This made them start to doubt if Wang Yun and the others did even climb up there.
But the surveillance footage clearly showed they did.
“Guosen, check the cameras again. See if Wang Yun’s team climbed back down or if they’re hiding somewhere.”
