Chapter 390: Brothers, We’re Live with a Fishing Broadcast!
by tinytreeXiong Sheng once again put on a facade of concern and said something.
But at that moment, the three of them—Wang Yun, Xiao Gang, and Brother Hu—completely ignored him.
Xiao Gang wanted to step forward and help, but Wang Yun stopped him.
Brother Hu stood to the side, anxious and helpless. Watching the boss struggle like this, he couldn’t do anything. And he still had to listen to this guy throwing out sarcastic remarks. Thinking of that, Brother Hu got angry.
“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely reel this fish in today.” Wang Yun found a spare moment and answered with complete confidence.
“Mr. Xiong, stop with the snide comments.” Brother Hu was getting annoyed.
He glared straight at him.
Xiong Sheng had already fallen out with them anyway. There was no need to try and win them over.
He shrugged his shoulders and put on a look of indifference, though his eyes still held a trace of fear.
Brother Hu looked at his pathetic expression, and suddenly, a light bulb went off in his head. He took out his phone, stepped back a bit, and began filming Wang Yun.
“Boss is so strong! Look, brothers. A Nian Swallow Fish!
“You might not even see one of these in years. Boss has both skill and luck. Brothers, we’re fishing live at sea.
“Giving everyone a close-up.”
Brother Hu shouted while holding up his phone.
At the same time, he rotated the phone, capturing the entire scene without missing a single angle.
After filming the intense look on Wang Yun’s face as he gritted his teeth, he then turned to Xiao Gang’s anxious frown.
And finally, Brother Hu pointed the lens at Xiong Sheng—standing off to the side, pretending not to care, with an amused and mocking look on his face.
“What are you doing?!” Seeing Brother Hu acting like a clown, holding a phone up to his face so brazenly, Xiong Sheng immediately frowned and snapped.
Just those three words were enough to irritate anyone.
“Oh, forgot to introduce everyone. This is our fishing coach, Mr. Xiong Sheng.
“Don’t be so harsh, Mr. Xiong. It’s fine if you’re not helping my Boss, but why are you upset that I’m just filming a little documentary?
“Hey, brothers, are all veterans in the fishing world this stern? No guidance from the sidelines at all; just left the three of us newbies to figure it out.
“Look how exhausted my boss is.”
As Brother Hu spoke, he turned the camera to himself.
He was allowed to show his face. Earlier, when filming Wang Yun, he had only shown his side profile and the sweat on his forehead. And the clenched jaw muscle bulging from exertion. As for his full face, Brother Hu was mindful enough not to film it.
Xiong Sheng was an old fox.
Hearing Brother Hu say that into the camera made him panic.
“Mr. Hu! What are you doing?”
He rushed over, trying to grab Brother Hu’s phone. But after a month following Wang Yun, Brother Hu’s reflexes were already better than most.
He dodged easily and stepped away, aiming the phone at Xiong Sheng even more deliberately.
“Come on, Mr. Xiong, we’re just recording our first fishing trip. I’m not doing anything wrong. Why are you so upset again?”
The word “again” was especially pointed.
Xiong Sheng stared at the camera, momentarily at a loss for what to do. His face turned red, then white—like a spinning light.
Xiao Gang, who had been tense, burst into laughter seeing the two behind him. Even Wang Yun, though he didn’t turn to look, could already tell from Brother Hu’s tone that he was up to no good.
He couldn’t help but laugh quietly.
“Now’s my chance. Brother Hu!”
Just as Brother Hu and Xiong Sheng were at a standoff, Wang Yun suddenly shouted.
“You’re about to land it?!”
The moment Brother Hu heard the boss call out, he ran over. As he passed by Xiong Sheng, he deliberately bumped into him.
Just then, the boat rocked—and Xiong Sheng nearly fell flat on the deck.
“Camera’s rolling. Let my people witness this moment.”
“Nian Swallow Fish, you’re mine!”
As Wang Yun’s words fell, he suddenly leaned his body back. Right hand gripping the rod, left hand reeling in the line rapidly.
The speed was incredible.
At that moment, the Nian Swallow Fish thrashed in the water—getting closer and closer to the boat.
The splashes it made were visibly less violent than before. Its body was still struggling, but most of it had already surfaced.
Once a fish floats to the surface, it’s essentially helpless. After all, the buoyancy on the surface is nowhere near what it is underwater.
“Damn, this fish… this fish is so ugly!”
As the Nian Swallow Fish broke the surface, Brother Hu’s phone flashlight illuminated its body. Only then did the three of them get a clear look.
The fish’s scales were black, and black hairs were growing on the scales. Its body was flat, but its tail was raised. On both sides of its body were rows of bean-sized bumps.
Worst of all was its mouth. It was massive, with two fangs sticking out like a cat’s.
Its eyes were narrowed into slits, giving off an uncomfortable vibe.
“Grab the bucket!”
Wang Yun had no time to admire the fish. He immediately told Xiao Gang to get the bucket.
At that moment, the Nian Swallow Fish was only five meters away from them.
