    Chapter Index

When Director Zhou’s wife turned around, she was still smiling. But the moment she saw Piggy, face flushed red and foaming at the mouth, her expression froze in terror.

    “Piggy!”

She shot up from her chair with a scream.

Director Zhou and Wang Yun, startled awake by her cry, quickly turned to look. And what they saw made their hearts plummet.

Piggy had collapsed onto the floor, both hands clutching his throat, his whole body writhing in pain. On the table before his seat was a half-eaten hairy crab.

“Piggy, what’s wrong?! Piggy’s father, Zhou!”

Director Zhou’s wife shouted frantically as she knelt down and hugged the boy.

Piggy’s face was already turning a frightening shade of blue. His eyes were rolling back, and she was struggling to breathe, like she was suffocating.

    “Quick, call 120!”

Director Zhou snapped sober instantly, bolting upright and fumbling for his phone. The housekeeper had already rushed ahead, dialing emergency services in a panic.

“It’s no use. Calling won’t be fast enough! He’s choking.” Wang Yun took one glance at the scene and immediately realized what was happening.

“Choking? Choking on what?! What do we do?!” Director Zhou’s wife was beside herself with panic, trembling and screaming.

“I—I’ll look it up! There’s some first-aid method, right? I’ll Google it right now!”

“You’re Googling now?! Our kid’s about to die!”

Director Zhou finally found his phone, but in his frantic state, he couldn’t even unlock it.

Tears streamed down Zhou’s wife’s face. She was completely overwhelmed. They only had this one child. If anything happened to him, they wouldn’t be able to live with themselves.

    “Let me!”

At that critical moment, Wang Yun stepped forward. He strode toward Piggy without hesitation, ignoring the vomit staining the boy’s clothes.

From behind, he wrapped his arms around Piggy’s torso.

Although Piggy was only ten, she was already over 1.6 meters tall.

A well-fed, slightly spoiled rich kid—heavy and unfit. It wasn’t easy to lift him. But in Wang Yun’s hands, he was light as a feather.

“Teacher Wang, you—you know that emergency method?!”

Director Zhou stumbled over, looking at Wang Yun with desperate hope. He was trembling all over.

Wang Yun gave a firm nod. There was no time for explanations.

He quickly positioned himself behind Piggy, wrapping his arms tightly around his waist. His fists pressed three fingers above Piggy’s navel. One foot braced beside Piggy’s leg for leverage—

And then, he thrust sharply upward.

He was doing the Heimlich maneuver.

Wang Yun had just redeemed this emergency skill using his shock value points. And not just all his points, he’d even gone into debt with the system to get it.

There was no other way. The more skills he mastered, the higher the price in shock value.

“Piggy, feel the force I’m applying. Try to push your stomach downward. Relax!”

After a few thrusts, Wang Yun noticed Piggy’s body was stiff with fear. The boy’s weight made it hard to apply force properly.

Keeping his composure, Wang Yun whispered encouragement into Piggy’s ear.

The boy could definitely hear him.

Sure enough, as soon as Wang Yun spoke, Piggy’s body visibly relaxed.

    “Again!”

    “Heh!”

Wang Yun grunted, lifting with all his strength.

    Once.

    Twice.

    Three times.

    Ten times.

Again and again, the same motion. But still, the crab remained stuck.

“What do we do?! Piggy, hang on! If you’re gone, your mom won’t want to live either!” Zhou’s wife collapsed to her knees, sobbing hysterically.

From the angle she knelt, it almost looked like she was bowing to Wang Yun.

Director Zhou’s face was ashen, his earlier drunkenness wiped away by pure fear.

    “Heh!”

At that critical moment, just as everyone could see Piggy’s head drooping. The boy suddenly gasped, mouth flying open, and a chunk of crab meat shot out.

    “Mom! Mom!”

Piggy could breathe again. The first thing he did was wail for her mother, crying uncontrollably.

    “Phew!”

Wang Yun finally let go, relieved.

    “Piggy!”

    “Son!”

    “Young master!”

Director Zhou, his wife, and the housekeeper rushed over, hugging Piggy tightly, frantically checking him all over.

“It’s fine now. He’s safe. Just remember, slow down when eating next time.” Wang Yun sat down, exhaling a long, deep breath.

    Luckily, it ended well.

If anything had happened, even he would’ve been crushed by guilt. After all, the couple had been distracted because they were trying to entertain him.

“Brother Wang! You’re the savior of our entire family.” Director Zhou, finally recovering, looked at Wang Yun with eyes shining with gratitude. Tears glistened at the corners of his eyes.

“Brother Wang, from now on, whatever you need, whether it’s walking through fire or climbing a mountain of knives, I’ll do it for you! You just say the word and I’ll do anything!”

He declared with heroic fervor, eyes blazing, then turned to the table.

Grabbing a half-finished bottle of baijiu, he tipped it back to chug it.

Wang Yun was startled and quickly jumped up but couldn’t stop him in time.

“Hey, hey, Brother Zhou, what are you doing?”

    “Piggy! Call him godfather!”
