Chapter 857: Did He Become a Legend in One Battle?
by tinytreeOnce they were sure no one else was coming back, the group finally let their guard down.
The purple-haired girl looked at the green-haired youth.
“Beavis, what do we do now?”
The green-haired youth shot her a look.
“You still have the nerve to ask me what we should do? When we created an opening for you, why didn’t you call the police or find someone to save us?”
The girl was left flustered. She lowered her head and said nothing more.
At that moment, a yellow-haired young man looked at the green-haired youth called Beavis, his face full of disapproval.
“Why are you blaming Gladys? None of this was her fault today.”

At this moment, Colin and Brook were both sitting in Baren’s office. The head of security was there as well, and the three of them were watching the feed on the computer screen while listening to the group argue.
It turned out Colin had already installed an audio surveillance device in the room.
Then the red-haired youth let out a complaint, and all of them immediately focused on him.
“If I’d known it would turn out like this, I never would’ve agreed to Joseph’s offer for that little bit of money–”
Before he could finish, the green-haired youth hurriedly cut him off.
“Shut up!”
That sharp yell frightened the others so badly that none of them dared speak again. But by then, Colin and Baren had already gotten the information they wanted.
“Joseph…” Baren softly murmured the name.
Joseph owned another bar on the same street, one with very good business.
The two sides had always been competitors, and friction between them had never stopped.
It was already half past midnight.
The bar was still packed with noise, and the atmosphere was at its peak.
Colin and the head of security set out for Joseph’s bar with more than twenty men.
The lackey at the entrance who was in charge of parking customers’ cars saw Colin’s group marching toward them aggressively. He quickly stepped forward to block them while notifying his own security captain over the radio.
“Captain, looks like someone’s here to cause trouble. Stop right there. You can’t go in.”
Colin and the others ignored him completely, shoved him aside, and walked straight toward the bar.
Just as they reached the entrance, more than thirty men suddenly came out from inside the bar, each one holding a weapon.
The security captain and a few of his trusted men were carrying electric batons, while the others had wooden clubs.
They came out in force and confronted Colin’s group head-on.
“What are you trying to do?” said the man in front.
Colin had no intention of responding. He did not even wait for the man to finish. He merely glanced at his own security captain. Their eyes met for an instant.
Then they charged forward.
Colin alone went straight for the opposing security captain and his trusted men.
As for the others, after enduring humiliation for several days, all of them had turned that anger into fuel. Every one of them fought with fierce courage.
For the most part, it was two of theirs taking on three of the other side.
Ten minutes later, there were still more than a dozen men standing on Colin’s side.
As for the other side, every last one of them was already on the ground.
Colin led the remaining men who could still stand into the bar, drove all the customers out, and smashed the main hall to pieces.
That finally forced Joseph himself to come out.
“Stop! Stop right now!”
He was sweating profusely, shouting at the top of his lungs without the slightest concern for his image.
Colin heard him and stopped. At the same time, he waved his hand, signaling the others to stop as well.
He looked at the thickset middle-aged man in front of him.
“You’re Joseph?”
“I-I am. What is it?” Joseph asked nervously, his heart pounding.
Colin raised a brow and smiled. “So it is you. Good. You’re exactly the one I came for.”
Then he threw a punch without another word.
Bang—
Joseph was knocked straight to the floor by that single blow.
Looking at the man lying on the ground, Colin let out a mocking laugh.
“When you sent those rainbow-haired punks to make trouble, you should’ve known this day would come, shouldn’t you?”
With that, he turned and left without looking back.
The men who were still on their feet helped up their injured brothers. Every one of them held his head high, like victorious roosters returning from battle.
Back at the bar, Baren arranged for the injured men to be sent to a private hospital.
As for those whose injuries were not serious, they stayed behind at the bar and celebrated wildly.
Baren had already had the customers cleared out in advance.
From that day on, Colin could be said to have become a legend in a single battle. Everyone now knew that the new enforcer Baren had recruited was terrifyingly capable. And through this incident, Baren had also come to understand Colin’s strength.
He began to plan when to have Colin help him with some of his other business as well.
Things often happened by pure coincidence.
Not long after this incident, Baren received news that an underground boxing match would be held locally the day after tomorrow.
He looked at Colin, who had suffered only a few minor injuries.
With a broad smile on his face, Baren walked up to Colin and patted him on the shoulder.
“Brother Colin, you really worked hard this time. It’s a good thing you were here.”
Colin scratched his head honestly.
“It was nothing. I’m the one who should be thanking you. You’ve treated me so well.” Then Colin patted his chest and promised, “Boss, if you need anything in the future, just tell me.”
Baren’s smile immediately grew even brighter.
